Lots of dudes of a certain age on here. Anyone have a midlife crisis worthy of sharing?

I am 51. Last year after my 50th birthday, I bought a mountain bike to ride trails after not riding a bike once since I was probably 15-16 years old. Rode a course nearby twice. Wiped out okay the first time and then horribly the second (stitches and huge scars on leg and arm). Sold mountain bike the following week to a 13 year old. Told him, "You're more suited to this than me."
Was easier to explain to my wife than a too expensive Corvette and Vegas hooker mishap though.

Another story...
I had a neighbor when we lived in Cleveland. Right around age 50, he got bariatric surgery. Lost a ton of weight and looked completely different. Within 6 months of surgery, he moved out of his family's house and into a condo with a 30 year old. Everyone would see the around town regularly. About six months later, he got 2 DUIs in a row and moved back home "reformed".
I always assumed his thing was some sort of midlife crisis.

I'm hopeful my midlife crisis is this eventful. most likely i'll just go buy something asinine.
I'm 36 and have recently joined a country club. 50% chance that'll sap away enough money i won't be able to afford anything really cool for my midlife crisis.

I turn 43 in a couple weeks and plan on continuing to act like a juvenile asshole. Can't have a midlife crisis if I refuse to grow up.

I moved my entire life into a 20’x10’ storage unit 2 weeks ago. Put my car in another storage facility.
Left the country last week and I have no clue what I'll be doing in the near future. Embracing the digital nomad life.
Does that count?

After the divorce in a 13 year marriage, at the age of 38, I married a woman 13 years younger than me.
This October, we will celebrate our 30th anniversary.

You're saying I could trade in for a 25 year old?

I had really really good reasons for divorce. I was looking around at women right around my age.
Then I found out that some younger women were interested. I began dating one I really liked and thought……you know what? I deserve this. There were many who disapproved, including members of my family.
I joked at our 25th anniversary that we should have put an article in the local paper, saying that this is 24 years more than what most would have bet!

I’m 47….still busy enough. Not sure what mine might be. Still have my 18 year old son….if he doesn’t come home for summers in college I’d say it’ll hit. Guessing I’ll do something in the form of golf…but do like sports cars

This doesn’t really apply so I don’t know why it came to mind but did you hear Russillo’s podcast about a month ago, the life advice about the group of guys who went on a vacation and got caught up with strippers and their wives found out? It was definitely my favorite.

If by "midlife crisis", you mean "hasn't seemingly matured one bit since he was young and still parties and whatnot at 47 like he did at 37, 27, etc." then sure. Don't think I've done anything wild or crazy, just continued doing what I've been doing without making any concessions to getting older.

My crisis was hitting 50 and realizing wanting to be a rock-n-roll drummer before I died. Took a while before I got up the nerve to get out and jam with some folks, buy a decent kit, and take lessons from a pro. There's definite regret I didn't start sooner, really hard for brain, hands, and feet to assimilate stuff that youngsters pick up quicker.
Maybe I should have bought a Corvette instead.

I’m hoping by the time I’m 50 a certain percentage of my bitcoin will allow me to get my ‘63 Corvette split window dream car.

$60/yr plus tips doesn’t go as far as it used to. I did make a decent bit the first few years but have nothing to show for it.
