I'm stuck in Salina, Kansas. I've been here since Saturday night. The ice was total mayhem. I saw at least 50 wrecked semis beofre I decided to abort.  i70 is still closed in my path to Denver. Thought I could outrun the storm if I left at 4am Saturday morning.

Well I can't see my road. And as I live on top of a ridge and have to go downhill to get anywhere, I've got a book, my Switch and soft blankets to occupy my time today. Saving PTO for when it matters is the rule lol

It is currently 64 degrees on Amelia Island, so we got zero snow.

We got maybe a couple of inches up here in NE Ohio but the local schools are like Texas, get a dusting and all Hell breaks loose. Schools are closed in the local area but we dodged the bullet that the Southern part of the state is getting.

NC Ohio: A little. From looking at my car, I'd say less than an inch, but I'd guess the science nerds around here would say "glancing out the window" is not the most exact way to gauge things.

Right around 10 inches but top 1.5 inches is ice…glad I messed with it last night but it’s a lot of work still. City crew about 2 1/2 feet of snow blocking in driveways snd cars on the street. Took awhile to clear mine out then I used my old accord to plow through and knock it down under a foot. When that plowed stuff gets more snow on top and 10 degree night temps…would knock a bumper off

Not supposed to stop here until around 6:00 pm

Just got back from Detroit this morning (humble brag) went from dusting to a shitload of snow in Dayton about 8 inches. 3 1/2 hour trip took about 6. This shoots the hell out of going south for the winter.

Just saw this on twitter. This is right before my exit off of 71 (at around 11am today). It wasn't great yesterday afternoon when I was driving home from Newark before most of the snow hit. It's a horrible little stretch of highway with the curves and hill when the roads are slick.

What sucks is there’s no stretch of above freezing and/or sunny days to melt any of this in the forecast.

Good news is this had delayed me getting fired or quitting my job for a couple days at least. Today was supposed to be the first day of being fully in the office. I'm not going in tomorrow either.
