Krogers. All Krogers and a giant Eagles in central ohio have gone to Saturday releases. Open at 9 put a sign out at 830 that lets you know what they have. 1 bottle limit of any allocated bottles. Stagg is my favorite so my wife got up and went at 4:30 to stand in line. She was 11th first 12 people got Stagg. I showed up at 7 and was 24th. I got Blantons. Then we each drove to two other Krogers and got another blantons and Henry mckennas.

I loved McKenna when it was a $25 bottle.

I have also slowed down on the IPA’s.

“Too many new stuff and styles”. I agree, Curly J.

I won a lottery at Jungle Jim's for the opportunity to purchase Utopias. Bought it last night. I've never had it before out of all the beers I've tried.

I've had it twice.  Doing a tasting of the 2023 tomorrow.  Honestly, it's just OK.  It's not beer and a little goes a long way.  You only need a few ounces.  A bottle should last you a couple year, unless you share it.  The "bottle" is cool as hell though.

I don't think I've had it before, but at 28% I'm probably out at 2 ounces. I have enough trouble with a small pour of ~14% BA stouts.

Nice.

I had a couple new ones tonight. An imperial ipa from Hoof, something with the word Fwenz in it. It was very good.

And a pretzel beer from Third Eye. Said it was a rye ale, a collab with a local bakery. It was also very good. Definitely tasted like a pretzel.

Picked this up at Sam’s Club. Had never heard of the outer two.  They were pretty good. (Man, this thread was clear back on page 5)

My last aged beer from back in 2018. 12.7%, it's gonna take a while to get through this one. Really good, though.

I saw something on Reddit and I kinda want to do something similar. I want to get some sort of rack system for storing 60 bottles of beer. Fill it up over the course of the next year or two, and then on year 5 start drinking one or two a month and replace them and always have a steady supply of aged beer. Would likely just be sours and heavy stuff.

I probably have 40 Goose Island Bourbon Counties and all the variants dating back to 2018ish.  Plus a history of CBS and 3 Floyd's Dark Lords and its variants.  I may have 60 total.

Has anyone ever been to Treehouse?

Never even heard of it. Where is it? I couldn't find a definitive place in Ohio called Treehouse.

It's in Massachusetts.  I've never had any of their beers.  I have been wanting to get there to try them.  You find any list of the top Hazy/New England IPA's, in the world, they have about 6 or 7 of the top 25.  From the people I have talked to about them, they are worth the hype.
