Just passing the cost of doing business right on to the poor customers. I am sure someone could find a chart that correlates this directly with gas/oil proces
I told my kids that stimulus money they were getting was an unsolicited loan from the government. They will get the terms later.

So you're the guy riding my bumper while I'm puttin' along at 55 getting 40mpg

It's the guy puttin' along at 45 who suddenly gets butthurt and accelerates to about 65. I rarely pass someone going the speed limit unless there is a separate passing lane. In the case you use the right lane to do so I guess it's like flipping them off. Same when driving my wife's Honda.
Are you one of those guys frightened by pickup trucks?

frightened? lol no
Someone said eggs would be $10 or $12 per dozen by fall? We both eat a lot of eggs, and always get the Kroger-brand 18-pack. Has been around 1.80 - 2.00 for a long time, about 1.25 per dozen. Lately that's gone to 2.90 for 18, so about 1.85 per dozen. We get two packs each week, can manage that for now.
Dog food - our dog is 16, small-medium, fairly active, but has never been a big eater. I'll get him the 15 lb bag of Kibbles brand small bites, it lasts a long time. Also the Pet Pride 12-pack of moist burger meat, I can make that last 5 or 6 weeks $6. And a bag of cheap bacon treats, one per day. He does fine on that regimen. I don't want to know what it would cost to give him that gourmet stuff like Blue Bison, but the TV commercials make me feel like a heel for not splurging on him.
Fortunately for me I don’t drink much pop anymore. But god damn has the price of it went up. Kroger the last week or two has been advertising 12 packs for $6.99. A 24-pack is $13.99. Is it an aluminum thing as well?
Eggs almost $6 at Walmart for an 18 pack
I'm back on the peso. Still very cheap overall, but I'm noticing a few increases since I've been here last (June 2022).
One being water. Bottles at the store have gone up a bit, but the large ones (20L) are double to get delivered.
Some of the stuff is ridiculously hard to find. Not sure why, but I finally found distilled water after searching for it for a month.

Is it for your cpap? I’ve always had good luck at Giant Eagle.

Yep. Found it at Walmart in the baby section, on a fluke, at the Walmart in Salem. Saw gallons of water out of the corner of my eye and decided to look. Figured it was "purified" but it was distilled. Not sure of the difference. Had been using spring water. Struck out at Giant Eagle in Ravenna and Alliance.
Yes, I have found it in baby sections at places like CVS, RiteAid and even SaveAlot.

Lived in Salem when I was young and single. Used to hang out at the Walmart late at night because the night cleaning crew was staffed by smoking hot Russian immigrants.

Not to sound like an asshole but now it's loaded (Walmart and the Salem area) with a lot of undocumented illegals.

If there was an egg shortage…wouldn’t they be out of eggs?
CPS test It's the unexpected increase in demand (or decrease in supply) that sets off inflation. Along those same lines, how much inflation people expect affects how much inflation we actually get. As prices of goods rise, workers aren't able to buy as much with their wages.
