i'm nearing my breaking point with Youtube TV, if they hike the price any more i'll just go with no TV. 2/3 of what i watch now are covered by HBO/Max, AppleTV, and the Hulu subscriptions we have, that are included with various other services we use. Only thing i keep Youtube TV for is live TV and NFL Sunday Ticket. seems crazy to pay $1000/year PLUS the Sunday Ticket price for Football. might just jailbreak a fire stick and steal streams like over half of my friends do.

Honestly at some point being a stand up person and paying for things you want seems like the sucker move and increasingly paying for TV is becoming that for me.

Idk that I use YouTubeTV for anything other than sports, especially football. Once March madness is done I might cut it until September.

Ridiculous gouging.

How much better is watching tv than it was 30 years ago? Better picture and can record, rewind, slo mo

I wish we just had a choice of a certain # of channels to choose from out of the 500+ channels.

Like…choose any 15 channels of your choice for $100…or any 40 channels for $200. Can change one time a month for a $5 fee or at any moment for $10.

Spectrum had something like this a few years ago I remember. We used it for a 9-12 month span. Can't remember the price, but it was definitely cheaper.

I am leaning towards doing the same.

I can pick and choose any channel from around the world....thousands to choose from.  Subscribe to an IPTV service, hack your Firestick, and you're off.  Plenty of tutorials out there.

Netflix jumping now in their prices too. How long is this sustainable for these companies?

Or is it kind of like oil? Us consumers are going to buy it and pay for it regardless?

Or the reality is just that content costs money.  And cheaper than the alternatives is cheap enough.

Nah, Netflix is by far my least favorite that I pay for. I’m dumping it next month.

I only have Netflix because it’s free with T-Mobile.

Nothing is "free"

Well when I signed up it wasn’t a benefit and my bill has only went up 3.99 a month and since then they have added Netflix and Apple TV so I’ll take it.

Well, went to Cancel Netflix and say a $7.99 ad option. Took that instead. Will roll that for a few months and then decide if I am done or not
