I'm not as informed on gerrymandering as others might be, and I've never taken the time to fill in what I don't know. But I do know that politicians do it and that's bad enough. At least politicians on both sides come and go according to the needs of the people. With an appointed group, the people have no part of the process at all and that's something that doesn't sit well with me. We have enough of that horse shit going on in DC, we don't need more of it at the state level.

Other than Jim Jordan is a douche not that much of a problem. District 5 where you have Loraine on the lake just west of Cleveland in a district with rural agricultural communities on the northwestern border with Indiana is quite a bit more sketchy.
Lets not throw the baby out with the bath water. An unelected politburo is not the answer here. In my opinion term limits would be a reasonable remedy. I am talking US reps so it would take a national effort. Ohio state reps are already limited. Although I believe that its just consecutive terms and you can be limited out of one senate/house and hit up the other side.

If she does, it's a testament to the power of the American media machine. They took a horrible candidate from 2020 and made her VP (for obvious reasons), and then when she was most unpopular VP in American history, they installed her as the POTUS nominee because they knew the sitting President couldn't win.
I think the next few days might be the most outrageous we have ever seen from Dems and media.
The fact that they are working in tandem with each other telling the story that Trump wants Liz Cheney to be executed, and people believing it, is a testament to just how powerful their hold on people really is.
If I were a Republican strategist, I'd study the hell out of this!
