Judge with 43 HRs already. Current pace is 67 for the year.

How many do you think he ends the year with?

I'll say 63.

If I were an Orioles fan, I'd be about to riot. Team plays great for a while, gets into legit playoff contention and still holds a fire sale, ditching Mancini and their All-Star closer for prospects. At least when the Pirates do that, it's after the season and they're like, "Well, that was fun...not gonna pay guys to make it happen again!" and not "Well, that was fun...but who really wants to push for the postseason?"

Yeah for sure. I’m heading to the Orioles game on Friday and great to know they big wigs have given up on this year.

Soto and Bell to the Padres

A team that’s not big big market and going in big…love it.

Tatis could be back in September

Tatis, Soto, Machado….that’s fun

From what MLBrumors says, a potential stumbling block (although the article says the Padres are sure they can still push it through) is that Eric Hosmer is going to the Nationals to help with salary considerations. And Hosmer has a no-trade clause for a few teams, including Washington, and may not be all that keen on waiving it to wind up with the shittiest team in the sport.

Looks like now, Hosmer isn't part of the deal, but Soto and Bell will be going to SD regardless. Just might mean the rest of the package changes or that SD will be eating luxury tax or something else.

Ah, they replaced Hosmer with Luke Voit to complete that deal. And dumped Hosmer off on the Red Sox.

So we are doing 4 days in DC and decided to hit up and Orioles game at Camden. Traffic was of course insane. I got too close to stadium and parking was a holy fuck. I told wife to buy tickets on LF side to avoid sun and 99 degree temps so she bought CF and we died in the sun until the 6th inning. Also, I had been watching attendance, most home games 15,000…even against division rivals. Tonight’s attendance was 40,800. It was jam packed everywhere.

Stadium was cool and I know all the what not to do’s next time. Glad I went but God was definitely testing me and my patience.

I saw a tweet about the Angels that cracked me up. Can't precisely remember it, but the gist was that Mike Trout hit two homers and raised his average to .538 and Ohtani had three hits and pitched 7 shutout innings...as the team lost 5-3 to Detroit.

As a Pirates fan, the way the Angels suck is just beautiful. They have two generational talents and throw money around like crazy and, still, during the duration of Trout's career, they have fewer playoff appearances (3-1), fewer playoff wins (3-0) and fewer playoff advancements (1-0) than Pittsburgh.

The Guardians struck out 3 times to start the 8th inning yesterday. They then scored 6 runs on about 1 hard hit ball (Oscar Gonzalez 2B). They then recorded a 4th strikeout to end the inning (Giminez had 2nd and 4th).

God bless the Detroit Tigers.

Kind of sad that he and Trout have been wasted on that shit franchise.

I had doubts he would get there after his torrid start to the 2nd half had cooled off. So cool he did. 700, wow, that’s a number.
