Was not expecting that. We were on the river kayaking all day but stopped for lunch at a brewery and caught the first bit. I saw 30-17 with a few minutes left and thought it was over.

Perhaps the AFCN is not as good as everyone thought.  Though I do think CIN and BAL will round into form.

PIT is every bit as bad as I expected, when a team doesn't just hand them a win.

Defense overrated.

I fixed that for you. This loss was gut wrenching. As soon as York missed that PAT I told my lady "Jets are going to score, recover an onside kick and win." Just fucking HORRIBLE.

Brissett and the offense played more than well enough to win. When you put up 30 on a team that just scored 9 against the Rats you SHOULD win.

VERY bad loss. I was counting on a 4-0 start, hoping to get a win against the Pats, and starting 5-6 until Watson returned. Throw that out the window.

I agree. Inexcusable. Just more rooting for trash.

They should beat Pittsburgh but, TBH, I have no desire to watch that crap fest. Will probably be a 9-6 "shootout" but Joe Woods' "defense" will probably be what turns the light bulb on for Pittsburgh.

How many times does the secondary have to blow coverages for Joe Woods to be fired? This shit has been happening for 3 years now.

Outside of the 2002 playoff loss,  might be the worst loss in browns (expansion era) franchise history.

Twitter getting on Chubb for scoring with 1:55 and would’ve been 1st and goal and no timeouts Jets

How about getting after the secondary for allowing the only thing they could not allow.? Stuff we learned playing recess near the bell time in 4th grade.

People complaining about Chubb can kill themselves.

LOL, no different than people blaming a PIT corner for dropping an easy pick.

At least PIT can't possibly disappoint me this year.  Well, 9-8 might be pretty upsetting....

How is dropping the pick the same?

On the radio:

End of game.  Field announcer says “And the final score is Jets 31 and your Browns 30”.

Huge amount of booing after that.  Huge.

And well deserved.

Why are they scoring there? The only way to lose is to score. Stefanski has to know better.

The horrible secondary is the reason that they lost. I like Chubb and Hunt, but they both made huge mental errors. At some point, the coaching staff is responsible for DB's constantly not knowing what coverage they are in and running backs not understanding to stay in bounds and go down at the 1.

This isn't to rub it in or anything, that's certainly not my style. But the Jets social team deserves reps for this. Mantooth retweeted this, which is how I saw it since I don't follow the Jets.

And Myles Garrett disappointed because the fans are disappointed and booing, "don't give up on us." GTFOH...DO YOUR GOD DAMN JOB AND MAKE A SACK IN A CRUCIAL MOMENT, MR "ALL PRO." How bout doing THAT, for ONCE? Guaran-damn-tee TJ Watt makes a game changing play on one of those drives.

It's one thing to give up a TD after Chubb scores that TD to make it a 13 point deficit but it's ENTIRELY something of astronomically different proportions when your defense gives up TD's in consecutive weeks I haven't seen since I played backyard football as a kid. If the defense just keeps that TD drive to cut it to 6 to a reasonable drive, they go home winners, but no...we have to be shell shocked by a guy 40 yards WIDE open.

Chubb shouldn't be getting shit from anyone on this. He's taken a knee in the past to run out the clock but this should've been different. This is ALL on the defense. Offense puts up 30 and you give up 31 to a 400 year old QB wearing cement shoes? Again, anyone criticizing Chubb can also GFT.

It’s perfectly fair to criticize Chubb (or the coaches for not reminding). The game is ONLY lost by scoring. Sorry, he has to take some heat along with coaches.

Not saying they should have blown it and the defense isn’t the culprit for the loss.  Hr it was also locked up by just going OB.

A couple of other things that I hate about the coaching (and these all go back to last year):

1) Felton shouldn't be returning punts. Just put someone back there who can field the ball cleanly since we don't have an explosive returner.

2) Have your best players on the field in key situations. Far too often, Chubb, Garrett, and others aren't even on the field in critical situations.
