Can you really call something if you don’t say who you think it will be? Surprise is broad.

As for the Darnold talk, I’ve heard otherwise. I don’t even think the media likes Darnold the best? Allen was the creation a few months ago.

lol this.  At least spit out your "feeling."

If it's implied that Barkley is going to be the #1 overall pick as the "surprise", Dorsey should just pack his bags and leave if he pulls that shit. A) he would've wasted a 3 yr/$15m deal on Carlos Hyde because Barkley's going to be your bell cow and B) you don't take RB's THAT high in the draft unless you're a team needing a "finishing piece" (Eagles, Vikings, Patriots, etc) to get you over the top and even then I doubt you do it.

Don't fuck around and just pull the trigger on your QB at 1 and then get Chubb (preferably)/Minkah/Ward at 4. I lean towards Chubb because I think he's going to be better than Garrett (who I don't trust to stay healthy so there's a second reason to go pass rush) and you can never have enough guys that can get to the QB. In today's NFL, the top priorities are have a QB who can move the offense and having guys who can get to the QB. It's NOT "stopping the run" or "running the football."

On a comical note, our buddy Jason LaCanfora, who I didn't know is a Baltimore Rats shill, is saying the Browns are the second best team in the division this year.

That's a big if.  I have a hard time seeing Barkley at 1.  I also think Josh Allen at 1 or 4 is a fireable offense.  LaCanfora can go fuck himself.

Not to pivot on topics but I think the Jets kind of fucked themselves trading up to #3 already. They've basically traded up saying "I hope we get the third best QB that we like in the draft." They probably like Darnold/Rosen better than Allen/Mayfield yet they traded up to 3 so they'd at least get a QB. IMO, should've waited to see if a guy they really liked dropped down to 3 instead of doing what they did.

Maybe they thought another team was close to trading up for that spot.  I am glad they did it though.  It puts pressure on the Browns not to make an idiotic decision at 1.

Even so, it looks like they are trading up just to take a QB, any QB. If they don't like Mayfield or Allen, they may be stuck with a QB they weren't very high on.

I would also only be surprised if it was Barkley or Allen, wouldn't be surprised with Darnold/ Rosen/ Mayfield. I see 0 chance of them drafting Barkley at 1, would love to know where that rumor came from.

They're not trading three 2nd's because they "just want a QB..any QB"

Clearly, there are 3 top ranked QB's and moving to 3 guarantees they get one of them.

My point is that they gave up all of that draft capital to "settle." They aren't going to get their top rated guy most likely.

And my point is, they aren't "settling" when they're guaranteed to get one of the top 3 QB's.

I'm guessing the Jets have two QBs they like almost equally, and will get one of them. I'm not sure which two their are, but if I were betting I'd probably go with Rosen and Mayfield (they traded right after their pro days, I think). I also think Browns go Allen, Giants go Barkley/Chubb. But I'm the worst sports predictor on the planet, so everything I've just said has a 2% chance of happening.

I know that Grossi is always wrong, and I hope it's the case this time, but he's saying the Browns are "struggling" between selecting Darnold & Allen. So that means Rosen or Mayfield will be the pick.

Not sure how we could be struggling when we haven't even had them in for visits/workouts yet.

Did Dorsey take the job with anything but the only vote when it comes to the draft?

Doubt it. Also, Grossi has no source to even get that information. Throws shit against wall, hopes it sticks.

Dumb asshole left the Combine before one of the players did their workouts and then got caught in a lie saying that player "raised his stock after his Combine performance" like he was there watching it.

I'm sure these guys have a QB in mind but I doubt they've locked in on one 100%.

Don't know who this guy is but he's just relaying what Schefter said...

Bearded Browns Fan@Browns_Beard32

Wow Schefty saying on NFL Live that Giants love Darnold and that the Browns and Giants could flop picks for a 2nd rounder. That Browns have Darnold, Allen and Rosen all fairly close

Fuck a second rounder. They want Darnold, give the browns the 1st next year.
