WTF is going on in Cincinnati?

Bad OL and Burrow playing like shit.  He had one pick that was ruled a fumble, and another pick overturned on a questionable DPI...otherwise 4 turnovers today.

And with that I'm done watching the Jets game. Brutal.

WTF happened to Cincy's kicker? Dude was the rookie darling of the NFL last year and now he has the yips?

Backup long snapper sucks. Both kicks were bad before the ball even got to the holder.

The shitty Falcons were competitive. The shitty Lions were competitive. The shitty Jags were competitive. The shitty Texans were competitive. The shitty Bears won.

And then there's Maude the Jets.

I was waiting much of last year for him to get knocked back in confidence with a big miss, but never happened. It didn’t take long this year. Kicking is tough.

100% no doubt the football gods thought I was watching the Steelers game….I was driving home from Pittsburgh. Didn’t see a play. My wife updated me the half time score and I got after her for not knowing how I work. I didn’t want to think about the crap I knew would go on that game, just wanted to drive home listening to music.

None of what happens surprises me….especially Steelers running off 24 seconds of clock while trying to run out the clock. In doing so Watt, the most important player is out for the season I assume.

The only good thing is Twitter will be bearable for a few weeks anyways.

Burrow didn't have zip on the ball but was still trying to make the big throws he made last year.  He is 100% from surgery.  The o-line should have played the preseason.  They will get as the year progresses.

Watt looked amazing. Shame he's probably done for the season.

I was thinking this as well. I dont think Burrow could have with the surgery but anyone else should have if they could. Maybe would help not looking so dumb come week 1.

Insane the entire Oline for Cincy never played together in the preseason.

How does that happen?

Yeah….and now some of his focus will be on that before the kick. Kicking is touchy. It’s the NFL….no excuse for long snapper issues.

So, since kicking is touchy, you probably want the starting long snapper doing what he’s paid and trained to do. Not the third string TE brought in at a moments notice?

it's fitting that the dolphins would appear to have the best team in 2 decades when the bills have officially morphed into a fucking juggernaut. oh well should be fun.

also as an unbiased observer of that pittsburg/cinci game yesterday, fitzpatrick plays dirty as hell. i counted 5 headhunting lunges yesterday. 2 of them were blatantly going for thomas' head on overthrown incompletions. wild to watch that going on with the concussion focus.

The blocked XP is hard to blame on Mac, right?

Did you watch the snap on the missed FG? Huber had to almost stand up to get it, get the ball back down, couldn't get the laces out, and it was obviously shanked.

I don't put blame on Mac for either of those. If the regular LS is in this isn't even a conversation.

Huber screwed up by not giving himself up. That's why you kick on 3rd down in those situations, even with your regular snapper.

Good point. Just fall on it and take the sack (is it a sack in that situation?). Kick again on 4th down.

Once again, not Mac's fault.
