Huh, you know, I never did make the connection between how no one knew anything was going on until the first on-train zombie attack, despite the fact it got so bad so quickly that Seoul was overrun not all that much farther into the movie. I mean, in context, his trip to Busan was to only eat up the morning as far as his schedule went, so that means that Seoul went from "normal enough that no one was commenting on anything weird" to "everything's collapsed" in a couple hours.

With the end, I did find it annoying how it was obvious the asshole dude was turning and the main guy did nothing until he had finished and was hostile. The "not overpower" didn't overly bug me. He wasn't exactly "Mr. Fitness" himself and was going against an opponent capable of "one-hit kills" due to the contagion aspect of zombie/hate plague bites.

Same. Not sure I’ve ever not stopped and watched when I see it channel surfing.

Little Women: 7/10 - Nice take on the typical story at the end. The time shifting was confusing as hell at times. I think there is way too much going on in that book for a movie. Too much happens and the scenes are too quick and direct. Not enough character development.

Ad Astra 4/10. Way too slow and took itself way too seriously. Looked cool, but tried to be like 2001, but more felt like a rip off of Interstellar, but with a weaker plot.

Yeah, it sucked.

Visually it was awesome, eveyrthing else..terrible.

28 Days Later is also my #1. I watched it recently, still holds up.

I pretty much watch any zombie flick I come across. Netflix seems to pump them out, like Girl With All the Gifts.....Here Alone and Cargo are both ok.

Watched Eastern Promises the other night. Was pretty fun and intense. Russian mob doesn't find its way into all that many of the gangster movies I've watched, which is too bad. The old dude running the show in this one was great at playing charming on the outside while being evil as hell on the inside.

Viggo has very few roles I don’t like.

Yeah, when I think about it, I'm not sure if I can name anything off the top of my head I've seen him in that I didn't like. Really dug how into the role he got in that one. Took a couple scenes before I even truly recognized him. And I read that he was trying to really get into his character, so he tried going out and about in complete costume, including tats. Until he utterly terrified some Russian people at a bar or restaurant because they legit thought he was in the Russian mob.

Hidalgo is a guilty pleasure movie, for me.

The Nice Guys (2016). Gosling and Crowe play L.A. private eyes. Set in 1970's.

I just tried watching Casablanca for the first time. It's obviously a well made movie, but I just couldn't get into it.

I'm usually on the same page regarding older films. But, I actually found Casablanca to be great. Maybe its because of the War backdrop and I am a sucker for almost all war movies? Also find Americans overseas pre-1960 to be an oddly fascinating theme. I can't really explain it lol

I used to show Casablanca to my senior government classes as one of my classic movies that I thought everyone should see. It is interesting how many Americans left to go to other places. A lot of Americans went to fight in the Spanish Civil War and WWII pre- US involvement, too.

One of the most used quotes from the movie: “I am shocked, shocked that there is gambling going on in here”.  (And then the guy comes up and says “here are your winnings, sir” with the response “thank you very much!”)

You sometimes might hear that quote in reference to when someone is faking like they don’t know what is going on, yet really they do.

recently re-watched Blazing Saddles.

for a movie made in 1974, the jokes have held up incredibly well.

often times older movies just end up looking/sounding corny. i feel like it has resisted this phenomenon.

I just might want to re-watch it. There are some really classic lines.

Uncut Gems.  I like the movie.  I hated the screaming and the background music.
