Chuck. About Chuck Wepner, the boxer's whose fight with Ali became the inspiration for Rocky. Neat story of how a nobody became famous, let the fame go to his head and entered the inevitable phase of self-destruction. Wouldn't say it's super-great or anything, but it was a fun watch. 7.5/10 or so.

Where can one watch this?

I watched it at a friend's house. He and his family saw it on, I think, Showtime and DVR'd it. I know it was one of the movie channels and think he said Showtime, but might be wrong on that part.

Gracias...I'll see if I can find it. Loves me some Wepner.

Darkest Hour. 7/10. Oldman is the best thing about the movie.

We contemplated between this and Molly's Game. I'm happy with our choice, but I'd still like to see this.

Oldman was fantastic. I gotta see more movies, but can’t imagine a better performance. The movie itself was fine. Wish it had a bit more “action”.

Molly's Game.  6.5 out of 8.

About an Olympian who got injured and turned to gambling.   Very interesting story.   She changed names of the famous in the movie but in her book named a few....some very big names.

Yeah, the main one was Tobey Mcguire.  Sounds like he's a real piece of shit.

I thought Molly's game was pretty interesting, I give it a 7/10

I watched a netflix movie today... The Open House.  Interesting at first, but then got really lazy.  I give it a 4/10.

Den of Thieves tomorrow hopefully

How crappy of a rating would the movie have to be to just give up on it and turn off early on or half way through?

I say between 4-5 would probably keep me from finishing it

Jumanji

Very entertaining

8/10

Kevin Hart steals the show.

And I agree that Jack Black was good, too.

I have sat through some really terrible movies and never walked out.  In recent memory, Jeepers Creepers 3 was about a -5/100....and i survived

I'll turn a bad movie off with the quickness. If I'm in the theatre the bar is higher. So far I've only walked out of 2 films:

  • Transformers
  • The Bling Ring - Utter trash and I love Coppala's movies (most notably Lost in Translation & Somewhere).
