Darkest Hour 8/10.  Great acting by Gary Oldman.  Film followed the events of Churchill's first month as Prime Minister.  It seemed to stick to the true story except for one scene that was helpful to the storyline.  My only criticism is that you never really got deep into Churchill as a person - where he was coming from and what made him who he was.  Hard to do, I'll give you that.  Overall a very good film.

Sicario. 8/10

Love that movie.I saw the trailer for the sequel the other day, looks awesome.

Friend reccomended the horror movie Lights Out.

8/10 for a horror movie. Under 90 minutes, cute girl, several jump scary moments, and an actual decent plot.

Darkest Hour: 7/10

Solid story, and I liked it as a history guy, particularly WW2. But not enough action.

Gary Oldman was fantastic as Churchill, though.

Zootopia, 7/10. Snuck in some great jokes and the plot wasn’t horrendous for an animated movie. I’ll watch it again when I have kids.

i watched rogue one on friday it was really good - 9/10. I feel like i have to go watch all of the prequels now since i still haven't seen any of them. once i've seen all those, i'll likely go back and watch the force awakens and the last jedi.

The Post: Solid and entertaining. A bit heavy handed at times and the facts are skewed for drama. Doubt it wins best picture.

Chuck. About Chuck Wepner, the boxer's whose fight with Ali became the inspiration for Rocky. Neat story of how a nobody became famous, let the fame go to his head and entered the inevitable phase of self-destruction. Wouldn't say it's super-great or anything, but it was a fun watch. 7.5/10 or so.
