Wife's a big sucker for made-for-television Christmas specials, so we watched some movie last night about some European prince running away to a small town in the US for like a week prior to Christmas (on which he was going to get married).

I didn't get all the details, and I don't know the name of the movie, but that was the gist.

I swear my wife DVRs every single Hallmark Christmas movie every year.

Anyone use MoviePass? Costco has a deal where you get a year for $89.99, I just bought two memberships.

Kingsman: The Golden Circle

Not bad.  Not quite as good as the first one, but not terrible.  Might watch it again.

Kill the Irishman: 2/10 (horrible acting; a guy with an Irish accent who'd never been to Ireland)

The Good Shephard: 6/10 (interesting but a little too long)

The Box: 6/10 (great premise but the plot got bogged down during the final 1/3)

The Imitation Game: 9/10 (great story, great acting)

The Last Castle: 2/10 (a ridiculous plot with major holes on top of it)

The Driver: 8/10 (Good plot, great acting by Ryan Gossling)

The Founder: 7/10 (Great acting by Michael Keating, interesting story of Ray Kroc)

Went to see the Last Jedi last night and while I enjoyed it I just really don't like Adam Driver as Kylo Ren. I just don't buy that he would be what the offspring of Han Solo and Princess Leia would look like and I think he seems like a whiny little bitch angsty teen.

I enjoyed the movie quite a bit.  Didn't like the Fin and that one girls part but overall a great movie.   I am not buying the answer we got on reys parents tho .  As far as Kylo I agree but that is a part of his character

Both Luke and Anakin were really whiny bitches sometime, but he does take it to the next level.

The Hateful Eight: 8/10. I liked the dialogue a lot. I’d probably rank it 3rd of the five QT movies I’ve seen, behind Basterds and Pulp Fiction, ahead of Django and Kill Bills.

Currently watching The Santa Clause.

I think this is my favorite Christmas movie. I loved it when I was a kid, and the nostalgia holds up now.

The Last Jedi. Overall 7/10, "grab you factor" when you're fully pulled into the world the movie is portraying, 3/10. Not the worst SW film, but just another one.

I saw the last Jedi last night. I liked it a lot. It wasn't the best movie ever made and there were a few points i had issues with but i like star wars and i thought this was one of the better ones. (I do get what queen city buckeye says when he says it's just another one, but i honestly think you could say that about all of them except #4)

Not nearly as good as the first, but not awful.  Agent Pena, and his stupid lasso, kind of ruined it for me.

Last Jedi. 7 of 10.

I thought it was good. I was not in love with all the jokes in it. The opening can you hear me joke by Poe was pretty bad. Some parts of it I felt the just rushed things. I enjoyed it, but I watched Rogue One  and The Force Awakens the last few days and I liked those movies more than this one. Some parts of it I felt it wasn't a Star Wars movie, but again, it was just good, not great.

I will say that after watching Rogue One again, man, I love that one., It may be my second favorite Star Wars behind Empire.

Looking forward to Will Smith's Netflix original....saw a review that said it was pretty decent, and theater blockbuster-worthy.

Agreed.  There's a line to walk with over-the-top spy movies like that, and the electrocution lasso was on the retarded side.

I also have to confess that I felt pandered to with the whole 'Statesman' parallel.  "Oh, there's a US equivalent?  Gee, I wonder how that will play with US audiences?"

It’s up there for sure. I might go Home Alone over it (and I have a soft spot for A Christmas Story)

I agree with your ranking of QT films.  Hateful Eight was pretty good.
