Ohhhhh….I see our old friend Clevenger is on the mound tonight.  Let’s see if he “fucks up”  Cleveland (or whatever he said that was close to that).

Zunino's May.............0-27 with 21 strikeouts.

Zunino being on this roster makes no sense. If you are going to be THAT bad of a hitter, you better be a great catcher. Yet, he happens to be the absolute worst catcher in baseball defensivly. To the point our pitchers wont throw breaking balls too low and out of the zone becasue they end up at the backstop. Its criminal he is still taking a roster spot.

I get the argument FOR Bo Naylor, and I agree. I'll just be surprised if they make that move while McKenzie and/or Civale are still on the shelf.

Fun Fact: Lot of Pirates fans are questioning Hedges getting the bulk of the starts even though he's a great guy behind the plate. But he's batting .170 or so, while backup Delay is over .300 and they have super highly regarded prospects at AAA and AA. Endy Rodriguez, the AAA guy, is only doing "meh" so far, but Henry Davis, the AA guy, is absolutely dominating and considering he's a 23-year-old guy who did college, shouldn't be stuck at AA.

Hey, our catcher did good today!

If you are a great catcher, .200 is fine. Yan, Perez, Hedges fit that category. When you’re as bad as Zunino, it’s gotta be .250+ and even still need some power.

Edit: Dang, just looked him up and he was 15-7 last year!
