I've got one sitting in the humidor. Had a Leaf by Oscar Connecticut and it was awesome.
Just had a Montecristo Platinum Series. Not too bad. Little airy draw, so it burned pretty quick. Not one I'd buy again, but I'm not really in Montecristos. That's was in the bag at the Jungle's smoke event.
Next up is an Oliva V Melanio. Had this one before and it's a great smoke.
Hanging out at one of my Cigar Buddies house for a cook out. I brought some cigars with me. He went to his humidor to get a stick. We both ended up smoking the same cigar with out saying what we were going to smoke. Juarez from Crowned Heads. This is not the first time we've done this. We must be true Bothers Of The Leaf or Soulmates.
It's a good smoke though. Goes great with the Oak & Eden Bourbon.
I was the big winner last night as I won the only box of cigars in the raffle. PDR A. Flores AFR-75 San Andres Maduro. Gave about 10-12 of them away to some friends.
Tonight it was a Vicarias Black first. Now smoking a CAO Flathead 660. I've always liked this stick since it first came out. Ricky Rodriguez did a nice job on this one.
I feel like Darby by keep posting on this thread without others posting between my posts.
Had the PDR AFK-75 Thursday at cigar nite. That sumbitch lasted from 5:15 until 8:00. Nice smoke. That's the one I won a box of 24 a few weeks ago. Now I'm sad that I gave so many away that night. Still have about 4 or 5 of them left though.
They are saying that the new cigar lounge, at Jungle Jim's, will be done in November. Hoping to see Justincredible there since Golf Season will be over by then. It's going to be called Oscar Station. A play off the Oscar Event Center which is where we currently herf.

Damn, that's a hell of a smoke.
I'll definitely make it up on a Thursday soon. I can't this Thursday, but maybe the next one.

Actually for the next 2 weeks they are having it on Wednesday night.

Gotcha. Still probably unable to make it this week, but next week is still in play.
Jungle Jim's finally has a dedicated cigar room, so no more sitting out in the cold on Thursday Nights. It's called Oscar Station that includes a huge bourbon bar. They have their top brands hanging from an old dry cleaners rack that rotates around the bar. Prices for those range from $16.00 to $120.00 for a 1.5 ounce pour. They do have lots of good bourbon that are lowed priced too. (Buffalo Trace, Woodford, Wellers)
They are having a big event there Saturday November 23rd with multiple cigar vendors. Believe there will be a band and huge deals I'm sure. I think it runs from 4pm until 9pm. Yes you can bring your own cigars.
So anyone tried re-charging their Boveda packs yet? It seems straightforward, but I wonder how long you let them re-charge. Seems like what I've seen is 5 days up to 2 weeks.

I haven't yet, but I need to. Two of mine are pretty solid. I'll let you know how it goes.

We've got tickets for the UC/Temple football game that day, hopefully it will be an early game and I can run up for this. Otherwise I'll be there for a Thursday night event at least once before the year ends.

Way ahead of you - started on mine yesterday. I assume you can kind of tell by touch, and if you take them out too soon that just means they won't last quite as long. I put them in a smaller tupperware container inside another sealed with distilled water.
I'm going to go with 5 days. Not a big deal since I threw in some fresh packs (because I have a bunch of extras after starting out with 69%, then 72% and finally settled on 75% - 3 of those for a 50 stick humidor keeps it steady at 71%). But the 69% I have in there now only get it to about 66%.
I hadn't actually had a cigar in a while, and noticed my humidity had dropped to about 68% so I knew they were pretty crispy.
So, I tried a new stick today. A Chillin' Moose.
I came in with very low expectations, but I was pleasantly surprised. Reminded me of a slightly milder Mx2. For the price, it was definitely worth the smoke.
I haven't been having as many cigars lately. I still enjoy a good smoke, but I've been getting into my pipes more. Years back, my wife got something of her estranged grandfather's: a set of old pipes. Turns out, they're 80+ years old. She gave them to me as a gift for my birthday that year. I cleaned them (thanks, Google) and got them ready to smoke again. They've been really nice.
Since I didn't know much about pipe tobacco at the time, I got advice from a friend who enjoys them. Glad I did. It's been a nice change of pace when I don't want to spend an hour or more smoking.
Funny you mentioned Chillin' Moose. I had one last Thursday. Looking at the wrapper I removed from it right now. I've had this one a few times and really enjoy it.

My first attempt at recharging a Boveda pack was successful. I think I had it soak for 5 days. It wasn't fully recharged, there were still a few little hard beads in there, but it was close enough. I've got another full size 72% and a small packet recharging now.

I did the osmosis method....after 5 days, nothing. I think my tupperware probably wasn't air-tight, so I put some sarran wrap over top. That doesn't seem to be cutting it, either. I think it's done a little, but like only about 5%.
Trying to avoid the soak or paper-towel method as that will eventually compromise the packets.
If I can get 2-3 recharges out of a single packet I'll be happy, I think.
