He seemed like such a giant on that show, but he was "only" 6'8".  But that WAS like being 7'+ back then.  Actually a pretty long life - outlived the average, and by a good bit when adjusting for his size.

He was a big dude….Larraquette was about 6’4 I believe.

In my 49 years I’m not sure any one person has caused me to chuckle/laugh more than him. Maybe my Dad, maybe a friend at work, maybe Bugs Bunny piled them up more…but it feels like Chandler Bing 

Damn.  I would guess drugs or alcohol were involved, but seems it could also happen if you spend too much time in too hot of a jacuzzi.

Either way, probably not a good idea as you get to middle age and beyond to take a soak alone.

I’m near that age and in mine almost every night. If I was relaxed and nodding off asleep and dipped under water…..wouldn’t I just suck a bunch of water up my nose and choke, cough, gag and wake up?

I didn't realize he used to have a big problem with drugs and alcohol.  But police said nothing was found at the scene.  However, I think if you pass out from drugs or alcohol you may not wake up choking from the water.

Might have had a heart attack.

Just a sad reminder we're all about that age where any night could be your last.

He’s had terrible drug issues and I’m sure alcoholism. He’s struggled a lot. Had a season or so about year 6 or 7 where he had trouble shooting the episodes and clearly wasn’t stable on what was the final tapings.

All I basically watch is sports and Friends is one of the handful of shows on in the background when I’m home and not watching sports and it’s been on solid replay since basically the turn of the century.
