Or, are you simply suggesting that Salem needs a new coach?

Nope - just stating that the girls program is in need of a new coach. Article in today's paper (resignation) - Should be interesting in Salem as both basketball jobs (plus girls track) - seek new coaches. And who knows how many assistants. The student athletes feel like they are in mass confusion right now....ts1227 wrote: source?

Our awesome media outlets in the area decided it wasn't worth mentioning on the internet. Still can't find it anywhere but here and Yappi...
(I believe you, as it is posted multiple places by multiple people citing multiple sources, just pissed at all of the poor excuses for legitimate media)

The student athletes are getting a chance to learn life lessons --- one being that change is inevitable and learning to deal with it, embrace it, and manage through it, is important and necessary in order to be successful.
I am hopeful that the administration is communicating to the kids that there will be new coaches brought in who will be excellent, and who will be relying on next year's seniors to start being leaders ..... now.
Go Quakers !!!

I'm not surprised, he left with Ms. Scullion.
When I read the first post my first thought was that it was probably due to family. He was a good coach, good guy too and I can't blame him for ducking out to be with his kid and wife.

Life lessons are valuable - totally agree - but right now they are kids with apprehension - which will get better over time - However sending you an LOL - administration communicating with the students - a double LOL....QuakerOats wrote: The student athletes are getting a chance to learn life lessons --- one being that change is inevitable and learning to deal with it, embrace it, and manage through it, is important and necessary in order to be successful.

Depends on the admins we're talking about here. Some would, but a few I think we know better.

Out of all those that applied, Berman is the most qualified. The response for the girls job was no where near as high as for the boys job.

I don't know the stipulations/procedures of application processes, but if there was a boy's candidate that they liked but they ranked as #2 or #3, would it be acceptable to offer them the girl's job?

TS, I have heard of that before. cant think of any examples off the top of my head but I have heard of that happening before at schools around the area. However with most of the top names applying for the boys job being established boys coaches, I dought any of them would take a girls job. Some of the younger candidates might if they were offered the chance though. Especially since none of the girls applicants stand out as "holy crap that would be great if they got the job" candidates. Although I do like Berman just because of past dealings with him.ts1227 wrote: I don't know the stipulations/procedures of application processes, but if there was a boy's candidate that they liked but they ranked as #2 or #3, would it be acceptable to offer them the girl's job?
