Canton Central Catholic 5
Triway 0

CCC now plays Norwayne tomorrow in the district championship. Baker threw the complete game for CCC and also went 3-for-4 at the plate with a double, home run, and a walk. I'm so glad he's graduating! Triway has now lost to CCC three straight years in the district semi-final, and all three years would have been the favorite in the district final. Now I'm going to sound like a Browns (or any Cleveland) fan and say "Next year."

Triway hosts CVCA on Friday to close out the regular season. There is no JV game.

Zanesville 3
Indian Valley 0

Blue Devils win a District championship as Cole Hudson pitches a no-hitter with 13 strikeouts. He was just one walk away from a perfect game. ZHS scored all three runs in the first inning, knocking out starter Johnny Iacobucci. Trent Mizer came on and virtually matched Hudson, allowing just one ZHS hit the rest of the way.

Sounds like an exciting game. Congratulations to IV on a very good season.

Tough way to lose for the Braves, but, then again, if it takes an almost perfect game to beat you, I'd say that's not such a bad way to exit the tourney. Great run by the IV seniors who won over 80 games in their 4 year careers and they won 1 ECOL title and 2 PAC titles in that time span. The Braves have lots and lots of talent still in the system.

Triway finished the season with a 9-4 (I think) win over CVCA Friday after being down 4-0 in the 4th inning. This win gave Triway 20 wins for the 3rd straight year. Congrats to all PAC teams on their seasons.
