There is nothing wrong with going to a club. You don't put yourself into a situation by going to a club--you put yourself in a situation when you act like a fucktard at the club.

In this situation, I don't believe shit until more info comes out--the civil suit is an instant red flag for that chick. Money hungry bitches are everywhere.

You love your Steelers and Buckeyes? Why not the Pitt Panthers?

I am from Columbus. I cheer for Ohio State and then got to choose whatever pro team I wanted to cheer for. I played flag football for the Steelers and started watching them on tv when I was 6 and have cheered for them ever since.

This may be more about the $$$ than anything. However, when you carry around the baggage Holmes has had with the law...............It will get looked at closer. Not just the pot possesion, he has had a few domestic incidents involving police reports.

I was actually asking legend, but something tells me that, if when you were 6, you played flag football for the Buccaneers, or the Cardinals you wouldn't be a follower of THEIR professional team right now.

Well seeing as how they were never on tv here, maybe not. I just remember thinking "wow these guys play hard". I don't think if a team isn't in your hometown or vincinity you should be "required" to root for them. I have no problem with people in Toldeo being UM fans or people in Cincy being UK fans.

This crap is an NFL problem. Not the problem of a single team, or single type of player, or because of a single coach or owner. It's an NFL epidemic. Obviously you can't alleviate all blame from the owners and such, but it's become stupid to single out certain teams for the actions of their players.

The job of the upper management is to build the most talented team, and much of that comes with the assumption of innocence, and before many of these guys have issues. Holmes was clearly one with issues before being drafted, but how can you honestly blame the Steelers for a guy like Roethlisberger?

the nfl is not the girl scouts....so what if they get in a lil trouble. the nfl is no different than this country. if you take a cross section of the country you are going to have people who are always going to get in trouble. these guys are football players, not clergy.....

the media hypes this stuff but i would say that guys in the nfl on average stay out of trouble more now than they ever did.

two problems nowadays...media and twitter, tmz, cellphone cams etc.

and police who want to make a name for themselves. twenty years ago if a nfl player got pulled over drunk i bet they would have been given a ride home quietly by the same police.

At this point, I think it is pretty clear that Steeler fans have nothing to say to other fan bases when a player gets into trouble

Pretty much every news story like this is an accusation not a conviction. Most convictions (or pleas) happen long after the news story breaks and that team/coach/player is ripped by opposing fans.

I'd agree with this argument if everyone had the same approach. Unfortunately, as soon as any news breaks about an athlete involved in any possible wrongdoing, he's pretty much immediately guilty by the media/fans.

Good question. Probably still talking about Rey Maualuga or some other Bengals player that recently got in trouble with the law.

You can be arrested and never charged.

I agree with you, for once, but remember your own words next time another team's player is involved in something.

That's all.
