In a mathematical definition, a curve doesn't have to be a line. A line is a type of curve (with a constant rate of change). There are several types of curves (linear, quadratic, cubic, exponential, logarithmic, radical, rational, etc.)SQ_Crazies wrote: http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/curve
