clearly he has a closed mind and is a big BR hater!. I just hope the kids play hard and fair. I don't care where they live or where they came from, what matters is they are happy with the decisions they have made. As a teacher myself, I hope they all are able to go to college. Why prosecute a child cause they want the chance to get into a college. To get a education ? I think some of you need to open your eyes and think "what if that was my child?" As parents we want what is best for our children .

I can give you a partial answer. I believe that two recent Big Red grads who did not attend elementary school in Steubenville are playing Div. I college. I'm talking about Busick and Magnone. I think they both started in Weirton. If I'm wrong, I hope a Big Red person corrects me.

I have a question that's off topic, but I hope someone will answer it anyway. In the Steubenville area, is there a Wells Fargo Bank or a U.S. Bank? What banks are there in town?

I hope the kid from harrison central does good at big red but everyone is all fired up because he plays football but he might have transfered to big red because of the wrestling program.Open enrollment was the best thing that happened to this area because now parents can send their children to the school they feel will help them get in to college and not be stuck at a school they may not like.

There is a u.s,bank in brilliant and in either yorktown or tiltonsville.I don't know about wells fargo.

Good players transfer to Big Red because they want a college scholarship and they especially want to play in Div. I. Look at how many players from Big Red have gotten college scholarships over the past ten years or so. Then look at any other team in the valley. That is why the good players transfer.

You live in Seattle, yet you know how many transfers Massillon gets compared to Steubenville? Fill us in, how many did Steubenville get last year? How about Massillon? Iggy? How bout Glenville?

I could live on Mars and still know these things!

You should talk! Everybody knows Massillon has had some high-profile transfers in recent years. And they haven't always worked out.

That doesn't even make sense. "you should talk", I didn't say anything about Steubenville, you're the one who dragged Massillon into this, I didn't say one derogatory word about Steubenville. But, since YOU'RE the expert, let's hear the #'s, you led us all to believe you know them, either post the numbers, or STFU.

I don't know what we're arguing about. I didn't say anything negative about Massillon. All I'm trying to say is that some schools are football schools. They have better coaching, better facilities, tougher competition, and more exposure. Kids who want a better high school football experience and maybe are after a college scholarship just naturally gravitate towards these school. Massillon just happens to be one of them. So is Steubenville.

Another question, what about the kid from East Springfield that grew up with Big Red? His father teaches there correct? He was a ball boy, busted his rear, was a product of open enrollment and had a ride with dad... He even has a championship ring as a water boy and totally dedicated himself to Big Red football, so why is the incoming HC lineman getting a look over him? So many question, NO answers.

The people on that list graduated high school and went on to participate at the next level (whether it be D3 or higher). I'm on that list, I played football for Big Red, but decided to go to a division III school and wrestle! I actually participated at the next level, what about you? Where did you go to college and what did you do if you went? The minimum requirements to be an EMT are what; a GED? Whether or not the people on that list received a scholarship or not doesn't matter, but the fact that most of them on that list probably accomplished a hell of a lot more than you have academically and athletically does matter! So before you start to degrade the accomplishment of the the people on that list, maybe you need to look in the mirror and ask yourself exactly what did you accomplish!

I tell what I don't get is why sos hates big red so much. What has Big Red done to be hated this much?

There is not a Wells Fargo in Ohio. Ohio is a non-banking state for them.

There's a U.S. Bank somewhere around in Jefferson County.

Parkvale (local/regional), Huntington (formerly Sky Bank), Chase (Wintersville), PNC (took over National City as well).

That's really about it that I can come up with off the top of my head. I'm sure there's an obvious one I'm missing.

For living so far away, he isn't far off the mark. Even though we have had our differences, I respect the guy because he is a die hard fan of his team. We need more fans like this instead of fans that think their poo don't stink.
