I think he was saying that Tressel and Ohio State has the most violations in the nation. But last time I checked the program has never been sanctioned (unlike Alabama, Florida State, etc) and the only issues the program has had under Tressel have been player issues (Clarette, Troy Smith, etc), not issues with the program as a whole or the coaching staff. At Michigan however, the problem seem to lie squarely on the shoulders of the head coach, who has the entire program being investigated because he grossly violated practice time regulations. You should be glad that we're only attacking your coach (who I'm guessing you don't like anyway) and not the program as a whole. This guy has been nothing but one bad PR nightmare after another since he arrived.

The rest of the Big 10 laughed their asses off at scUM getting sanctioned for "practicing too long" ...I mean how much more shitty could they have been without all that extra practice!?!?

LOL...yeah...deflect much?

While HC at YSU, he became aware of infractions that occurred as a result of some other criminal case, The University self reported the infractions and imposed self sanctions on themselves and had no further penalties imposed by the NCAA.

Can't be shady if you're not exposed to the light. Found out, self reported. End of story.

I'm not sure what the official NCAA findings are (I'm sure they've been released yet either), but the initial report of this story made it sound as though he was possibly requiring twice what the NCAA allows. Now, I understand that no school only practices under the limit the NCAA allows, but I also doubt that most schools have mandatory practices and meetings that go much over the limit. Most of the stuff above and beyond is technically voluntary. The students at UM who spoke up stated that they were being held in meetings and practice for upwards of 12 hours on Sunday, almost half the weekly allotment and three times the daily allowance for mandatory practice. Sounds like he grossly violated the rules to me.

Why don't the university just pay the loan? They have already invested 2.5 million to buy out a coach who has a stellar 8 wins in two years. What's another 1 million?

This is the interesting part of the story....

"The suit says the $1 million was due on Dec. 31, 2007."

Hmm, so Dick Rod owed a million dollars shortly after throwing the Pitt game. Seems like an investigation should be coming into some possible money being placed on the game.
