Jim Bunning received numerous death threats while he was holding up the UE extension a few weeks ago...same with Henry Hyde and his peeps during Clinton's impeachment.
Shockingly, none of these cases made the national media for a full news cycle.
During this entire process, the only measurable violence has been committed by supporters of Obamacare.
Thank you, for the facts.

Don't even try to fucking say the media doesn't mention attacks on GOPer's. Cantor's office being shot at was the lead story.
If this kinda shit happens to anyone it's horseshit. The people who do this should be arrested and put in jail
Obviously they should be arrested. As should the lawless radicals in congress who are stealing my money to pay for someone else's bills in tyrannical fashion.

For the record, you are insane. Just thought I would point that out. I have no problem with conservatives that disagree with the politics of the left and I even agree with them in some instances, but your comments in every thread on this forum lead me to the conclusion that you should be committed.
That is all.

Threats to Lawmakers Worsen
Politics Daily reports that "at least 10 members of Congress have received threats since the health care reform bill passed Sunday night," ranging from threatening calls to homes and offices to bricks thrown through windows at offices.
The FBI is even investigating a ruptured gas line at the home of Rep. Tom Perriello's (D-VA) brother, and Politico reports that a coffin was placed on the lawn of Rep. Russ Carnahan (D-MO).
Meanwhile, The Hill said House Republican Whip Eric Cantor (R-VA) accused Democratic campaign officials of using the threats directed at Democrats as "a political weapon" and as "media vehicles for political gain."
Update: The Richmond Times reports police are investigating a window struck by a bullet at Cantor's office.
Has anyone heard the voicemails Stupak has recieved? They are really scary
So, because I question calling every Republican in this country evil, I endorse what's happened? That's nice. It must be nice to paint the entire country into such black and white images. Us vs Them.

That's what you are implying. So, one conservative blogger made a post on the internet, and you're on here pissed off. Deal with it. Saying that people on here condone what is happening.

For all of the talk about the "mainstream media" ignoring attacks against Bush, et al, I find it ironic that my link at the beginning of this thread came from Fox News.
Failing to condemn these unlawful actions does seem to tacitly condone them, at least from where I stand.

Jesus...I wish you people would fucking whine a little more. That would be awesome. You won, for christsakes. Cantor is absolutely right...that's exactly what you all are doing.

Really. I'll be sure to send out that memo to all the Republicans tonight reminding them to denounce what is happening. Like anyone on this website has any thing to do with what's going on.

That is a lie --- I condoned nothing.
I am however troubled that 219 thwarted the wishes of the VAST majority in this nation ............. I am not sure what they expected in return.

And just to add something else, those in Washington have made their millions on the backs of the taxpayer too. To spread the wealth of those that have been successful in life will not go down well in this country. They voted against the will of the people on this particular bill. They must deal with the results, good or bad.
Are you insinuating that those results may include violence and that there are justifiable reasons for such actions?
Not at all. The violence is by a few idiots that need to be dealt with by the law. All i'm saying is they are celebrating passing this thing, and that the rest of America doesn't feel like partying. They have to deal with the outrage as well as those that support it.

I don't know what they expected either, but I can assure you they didn't expect threats and violence. Is that what a rational person like yourself would expect?

No, fish, shame on you. You think that you can dismiss threats and violence with a smart-assed retort. This is serious stuff going on here and for you to make a feeble attempt at humor only makes me believe that you secretly want to see acts of violence, as if it will give credence to your cause.

Both sides have their crazies, both have their few, but vocal nuts. Just saying, "Oh, look the media doesn't report it if it is a Liberal doing the violence." is not the answer or the point. It ignores the problem that people are using violence to solve their political differences, when in reality differences need to be debated/ talked out.
The rise of tensions by both sides have not helped the situation. It is like a powderkeg, that thankfully has not fully exploded.
We need to ease tensions, step back from the slogans and rhetoric and instead get down to real, serious, nuts and bolts solutions to the numerous problems facing the country.

The politicians are finally learning there are consequences for their actions. They should have learned that lesson during the Bush era, but they will now.
By the way, the Dems and their media pawns largely lied about the racist threats being thrown out. They love the race card though.

^^^spot on.
Sorry, if you are going to ram your agenda thru against the will of your constituents, people are going to be mad.
No excuse for any violence, but it can't be unexpected.
