We looked on CL earlier this year for a used car for my wife and I can say it was nothing but frustrating. Beside the scams and hundreds of dealer cars, the legit sleds we went to look at were junk.

We abandoned our CL search because the various degrees of bullshit on there we just overwhelming

The only thing I use CL for these days is when I'm trying to score a quick hookup on a slow afternoon, with a clean, upstanding woman.

I bought a car off craigslist a few years ago and had no problems. Although, that was probably four years ago now, so there weren't nearly as many dealers and scammers posing back then, just people looking to sell a car.

I sold my authentic Beanie Wells jersey on there, didn't have any issues, although I'll admit I haven't bought anything on there yet, I use ebay a ton instead.

I buy and sell stuff off of craigslist all the time. I'm just not going to wire the money anywhere. Ebay is much safer for that kind of stuff.

I bought my truck off of there. 4,000 off KBB. It needed some maintenance but nothing unexpected on a 9 year old truck.

This is definitely a scam, for sure! I'm going through the same thing myself on CL. About five days ago I listed a room in my home that I would like to rent. I can't tell you how many scammers came out of the woodwork. They all claim to be young women from out of town, usually from out of the country. One claimed to be from Tennessee, but she misspelled Tennessee. That was a dead giveaway!

At any rate, do NOT send this scammer any money. You will be sorry if you do.
