Everybody goes crazy about Wes Johnson and rightfully so but Rautins is the glue. Good things usually happen when Andy's got the rock.

They caught up too fast for Butler's liking.

Syracuse's attack heating up with still 13 minutes left

yeah Butler called timeout around 13 minutes and then the under-12 timeout

Butler had to call it though with Syracuse surging

Butler came back with a couple of solid possessions and four points

This is an excellent coach and a smart team, Butler.

A lot of little things that add up to success.

Hayward had been quiet. There was a brief stretch early when they went to him in the high post and then he came back and drove in for a shot and showed his versatility against Syracuse's defense.

Then he didn't do much for the last 10 minutes of the first half and first seven of the second half.

So they called that timeout when the Cuse went ahead and it was clear they wanted to go back to running the offense through Hayward, getting him more touches.

Jackson going out can only be a good thing for Syracuse the way he's played tonight.

Lot of tardy whistles tonight. It's either a foul or it isn't. Don't wait until the other team has the ball to blow it.

you're right though

when you start to have a lot of late whistles it just looks bad for the entire crew

out of position and indecisive and it looks like you're just bailing guys out even when there is a legit foul

Johnson is a nice player.

He stepped out and hit that three very calmly

then hit the nice kiss off the glass, that's an ultimate game shot which will work at any level
