Start of 4th.
Cleveland has dominated. .Again another game with no rotation. Up by more then 20 points and we still don't see Jamario. He did play Delonte' and Andy along with Powe and Williams. Thats about it for the rotation today.
81-59 Cleveland
Start of the 4th.

The reason you're not seeing all the players is because Mike Brown is shortening up his rotation for the playoffs..

This doesn't mean Jamario won't be used, because he will.. But for now, Brown is down to about 9 or 10 guys in terms of PT.

Though, Boobie and Moon are both playing right now, and have been for much of the 4th.

Leon Powe is looking GREAT today though.

Yeah, it is definitely time for the Pistons to unload guys like Rip and Prince. Time to go to a full rebuild.

They were STUPID to sign Gordon and Charlie V. Overrated and overrated.

The Pistons look old! I can't remember the last time they beat the Cavs! It feels like forever ago!

12 meetings ago :)

I seriously didn't think we beat these guys 11 times in a row though.. I mean, I know we dominated them last season and this season, but I guess those wins add up quickly.

Agreed. Said it as soon as it happened that those were two dumb signings, especially for the money they spent on them.

I also agree with what AC was saying during the game. They have no TRUE point guard. Rodney Stuckey and Will Bynum are both 2 guards. Stuckey and Gordon also don't gel together.

Hell, Charlie barely played any first half minutes it seemed. He got most of his in garbage time.

Not stupid signings, but paid way too much for Gordon.

Most Cavs fans were drooling over the possibility of getting Charlie V in a Cavs uni.

I admit I was intrigued by it, but he's just not a good player. He's a solid scorer (at times) but he doesn't do much else. I thought he was coming on after last season, but it seems he took a HUGE step back. He gives no effort defensively either.

However, I think "stupid signings" goes in part with spending too much on them. They were supposed to be big players in this upcoming FA class, but that's pretty much out the window now.

Count me out of that group, I never wanted Charlie V in Cleveland. And I disagree about most Cavs fans. I think the idea was entertained because pretty much any high profile FA is talked about--but I don't think many Cavs fans thought he was worth what he would cost.

Gordon just isn't a team player, period. He'll never be part of a winning team, he's just a volume scorer. Good basketball player, bad team basketball player.

If only for the fact that he looks like that dude from the original 'The Hills Have Eyes" and the Motley Crue "Smokin' in the Boys Room" video. :P

While the injury argument is very valid for the Pistons this year, they still haven't played well enough. I will argue that Bynum is not a 2. He is much closer to a PG than a SG. It's not time to unload Rip or Tayshaun yet either as both have played very well since coming back from their injuries and depending what they were traded for, it would destroy fan support, especially after the Billups deal. I wish I could go back to 2008 and wipe the floor down in Boston so Chauncey would not have pulled his groin, allowing Stuckey to get a lot more PT and giving the idea to Dumars to trade Billups, because that is the only reason that it happened.

Biggest problem with the 2 free agent signings is the inconsistency of both. Charlie shows glimpses of brilliance on both ends of the court but then will have bad spells. His shot has been pretty solid for most of the year and I like his low post game but his consistency must be better. Gordon just has not been able to find his shot all year. First game of the year he looked great and was stroking it all over the place, then he and everyone else got hurt and he can't find it. The chemistry is the biggest problem outside of Rip, Tayshaun, and Ben since those 3 know each other inside out. Working everyone else in has been a struggle for the most part outside of Jerebko, whom I couldn't be happier with. They added so many new guys this year and they haven't mixed well yet. They need to have another good draft this year and use their MLE to get a post player who can score. I don't care if he barely defends, they need a low post scorer badly. Wilcox and Brown will both be gone going into next year so getting a post player is mission number 1. I will still hold that had they been healthy all year they have a good 10 more wins, but still wouldn't make the playoffs.

That's the thing about signing Charlie V and Ben Gordon. You shouldn't have been surprised when they were inconsistent. Especially Ben Gordon.

I agree. It was also nice that our 47% free throw guy never got fouled too. The team was focused and played one of their best overall games over the past months. The turnovers were wayyy down which was nice to see.

Gordon has always been a pretty good shooter (over 40% for his career) but his shooting this year is the worst it has been since his rookie season and he is averaging almost 7 points fewer than he did last year. The 3 point shooting (one of the big reasons they signed him) is far and away the worst of his career. Charlie doesn't surprise me as much but he has been more consistent than Gordon.

I looked up his numbers.....he is horrible this year. I'm surprised they don't boo this guy out of town. Talk about a drop off...wow.

I really hope the Powe makes Browns playoff rotation. I think he could very useful on defense against guys like Howard and some of the Celtics bigs.
