I kinda feel bad for S&L and Hank because they're actually good posters.

LMFAO! Before this game you would have said none of them were capable. Not sure how you can see it happen and say none of the other ones are...Cleveland Buck wrote: No other 8-9 is even capable of beating their #1 seed (except maybe Gonzaga). This Midwest bracket was just brutal.

I loved it. UNI is a fantastic team with a ton of very solid players. They are what college basketball is about, and to see them knock off the giants is priceless.
How impressive are their younger guys? Forget about Egleseder, Adam Koch and Faroukmanesh. Jake Koch, Moran and Sonnen? These guys didn't get rattled like they should have against the best team.

I think Gonzaga will beat Syracuse.
I don't think Wake or California can win, but we will see.

Oh really??? So you're saying a region with OSU, Kansas, Georgetown, etc... wasn't the hardest region, and now because of the past few days isn't much easier if you're an OSU fan? Talk about fucking retarded! Sorry you're pissed about your team, but go punch a wall or maybe get drunk instead of berating a fact.SportsAndLady wrote:That's the worst fucking argument ever...fuckin retarded stupid ass peoplemattinctown wrote:what was the hardest bracket by far now looks tame relatively speaking.

That's why I went back and edited my post. Gonzaga has a chance, though not a good one. Kentucky will stomp Wake and Duke will handle Cal.killer_ewok wrote:I disagree. I think my team (Syracuse) could lose tomorrow to Gonzaga and I wouldn't be totally shocked if Kentucky had a rough time with Wake tonight. I think Duke will take care of Cal. Totally disagree. There was more than 35 seconds left, you get yourself a WIDE OPEN look and a two for one situation that doesn't let them get the ball last. And you probably won't get that good of a shot when Kansas gets back on defense. He'd be struggling all second half because he always had a hand in his face.cview wrote: Dude has stones the size of fucking watermelons. Agree that he's got some stones though--takes that to make it.

You know, if the stupid committee had any brains, this game doesn't happen. Maybe after this tournament the committee will start to realize that a mid-major with 30 wins (both NIU and Murray St) deserves a decent seed. NIU was in the top 25 all season and they get a 9 seed.....and a pathetic Notre Dame team who a week ago wasn't even going to be in gets a 6. If the committee would see teams based on how they play, not the size of their conference, the entire tournament would be better. Games like this one should be sweet 16 or elite 8 games....not second day.

I agree. Murray State and Northern Iowa were under-seeded. Their play has clearly showed it.

No it's not much easier because just because the top teams got knocked out doesn't mean the teams still remaining (who knocked them out) are bad...hell THEY'RE BETTER!!mattinctown wrote:Oh really??? College basketball this year is just down. Or I guess maybe "down" isn't the word....Parody is a better word. Honestly, although that was a good Kansas team, I doubt they would be a top seed an any of the last 5 years. It is just a wide open tourney this year.

Maybe. Maybe not. Maybe if Kansas was truly the best team it wouldn't matter. Kansas bricked. If you want to win the national championship you have to beat good teams, regardless of their seeding. Kansas didn't. It broke all of my brackets because I had KU winning it all in all of them, but it still happened. The committee hate is getting old and frankly silly. All Kansas had to do was beat a directional school from Iowa in their backyard and they'd be the favorite to win...they didn't do it. They are out.bartsimpson wrote: You know, if the stupid committee had any brains, this game doesn't happen. The committee is done, it is all about the teams now, and Kansas didn't measure up.

Washington is so fast when they get going
wouldn't matter against Missouri, that would be full go
WVU would be a contrast

You know, one thing I've noticed when reviewing past tournament brackets is that I think this is a misconception. It seems like there is a lot of parody because of what we've seen in the last 10-15 years. But back in the day, there was a lot more parody IMO.wes_mantooth wrote: College basketball this year is just down. Or I guess maybe "down" isn't the word....Parody is a better word. Yeah, there is so much BS in this thread that I'm not sure where to begin. They lost, period.SportsAndLady wrote:Preach onbartsimpson wrote: You know, if the stupid committee had any brains, this game doesn't happen. If you're Ohio State, do you want to play Georgetown and then Kansas, or Tennessee and then Maryland/MSU/N. Iowa????? Winner.

That makes absolutely no sense what so ever. This region absolutely got a whole lot easier for OSU. The highest seeded team they could possibly have to face to get to the final 4 is a 4 seed.SportsAndLady wrote:No it's not much easier because just because the top teams got knocked out doesn't mean the teams still remaining (who knocked them out) are bad...hell THEY'RE BETTER!!mattinctown wrote:Oh really??? I agree with MB, the committee has screwed up, and does screw up. But Kansas' play was a far bigger issue. They didn't seem to wake up until it was pretty much too late.
My bracket is crushed, but I don't even care. I'll take upsets like this any day.

I don't see Washington faring well against WVU at all. I'm not surprised they beat New Mexico though. The Lobos overachieved this year and Washington underachieved. The Huskies are the better team on paper.

The latter 8 days a week. But we have to get through GT first.
