Once again, the lack of basketball IQ of some players is just mind blowing. How do you think you're going to get away with that clear out?

GT really paid the price for their extremely aggressive defense early. Ya, it put Ohio State in a whole... but things have turned around.

As bad as the OSU was to start this game...I'll take where they are right now EASILY! And Turner is going off. We need Diebler or Buford to step up and hit some shots though. Definsively, Matta is doing a great job of mixing things up to keep GT off balance.

THere isn't a play in the nation that gets beat up worse then Turner does. The guy gets constantly drilled on offense along with cheap shots like this last one.

Take the lead after the way we played. O needs to heat up badly in the 2nd half. If we can hit some shots man I think we could blow this open!

GT in serious foul trouble. Keep attacking the basket and force the action.

We played terrible and lead by 2

they're looking at it, I'm sure, like well we had foul trouble and are only down too

to me though it's simple, if we get deibler or bufford to hit some shots. We win.

Go bucks!!

Why was Ohio State in bounding the ball t the end of the half? GT was over the limit and that was an offensive foul. Shouldn't Turner have been shooting?

No FT's on offensive fouls.

OSU is leading after playing one of, if not their worst half ever.

This was my thought. Did they just call a shot clock violation instead of a foul?

things we learned in the first half of this game:

* turner is the best flopper playing in this game
* osu's zone is giving gt fits
* gt is very undisciplined

just an ugly game overall but i think its state's game to lose unless gt just comes out and lights it up.

IMO a bad call by the refs. The ball was stripped loose...thus not an offensive foul...but a loose ball foul. Turner should have been awarded 2 shots.

OSU is doing a very nice job rebounding the ball, as well as drawing contact/fouls. GT found you, you can't come up and body this OSU team, or they will take it to the hole, get fouls.
Turner..one minute you want to kill him, the next he is making spectacular plays. Needs to protect the ball better though.
And we definately need Deibler OR Buford to step up. Buford completely disappeared on offense. He is rebounding and helping releive pressure...but OSU needs him on offense. Turner scored 16 of 28 for OSU. This kind of load he cannot continue to carry in second half.

The player was not in control of the ball. He clearly had lost control of the ball and then hit Turner, so in my mind it was a foul committed when the ball was not controlled and should have been a double bonus. Did the announcers even allude to that possibility? I wasn't listening, but to me it clearly should have been OSU at line with two FTs!

Hmm. I always thought that the limit was the limit. Do offensive fouls count against the team total?

And it could have been called a loose ball foul, but I'm not surprised they didn't. Turner has taken some bad shots that cost us, but he is the only one attacking the paint as well. Diebler's shot is off, Buford is passive. They need to attack the lane looking to score and kick to open shooters. Contested jumpers are the same thing as a turnover. They won't win the game if they played the same way in the second half that they did in the first. Defensively, they played better in the man-to-man, but that is because Favors was out with 2 fouls. They are going to feed him the ball inside in the second half.
