I know there are some Pirates fans on this board, but this is for any baseball fan: what are you thoughts about Andrew McCutchen, both for 2010 and the future?
We looking at a .280, 13 HR, 65 RBI, 25 SB guy? Or more like a .300, 27 HR, 90 RBI, 45 SB guy? What is this guy's ceiling?

Andrew McCutchen is one of my favorite MLB players.
Pirates will be good in 3-4 years. Nobody believes me, but it's true. And I can't wait til all the Pirates bandwagoners come out either.

Yeah the Pirates finally seem to be heading in the right direction, and they seem like they have a plan. McCutchen is going to be good. I would guess his numbers will be similar to Carl Crawford's

For this year, he might be the only reason to watch the Pirates. IF the young pitching develops and even a semi-respectable number of prospects pan out, he could be the centerpiece of a contender in a couple of years.

If he can keep the ball on the ground, there is no reason he can't be a .300 hitter. I am probably wrong, but he looks like the fastest guy in baseball.
