No one thought they would beat Kansas, but they were 28-4 coming into the tournament, champions of the Missouri Valley Conference who has been almost like a 7th major conference in recent years. Wake Forest came in 19-11 and was almost a bubble team.

I bet Kansas wishes they had Wake Forest instead of Northern Iowa in their bracket.

To wit? If you can't beat Northern Iowa you shouldn't be in the next weekend. I have Kansas winning in all of our brackets but they simply didn't deliver. Again, this isn't the NCAA's fault.

I'm posting because someone is unfairly bashing my team and I am defending them.
You said you didn't care, but apparently you do.

Nobody was bashing duke. The bashing was being done to the committee. duke didn't do anything except receive favorable treatment. It isn't duke's fault.

Whats funny is that Duke's bracket is more screweed up then any of my others. I havent lost a game in the South and east.
duke is in the south. Are you saying that you picked St.Mary's over Nova?

Playing Purdue without Hummel is pretty easy.

That's why some picked Siena over Purdue and many picked Texas A & M over them in the 2nd round....but that didn't work out.

As a Duke fan I'm happy Purdue beat A&M.....but sometimes you have to be careful what you wish for.

Looks like Whitlock was right. Duke makes the final four. SMH.

Unless Purdue can figure shit out fast, the only team that has the talent to challenge Duke in the whole bracket is Baylor, who I have beating Duke, but Baylor's kids have never been in that spot before, playing an Elite 8 game in a raucous arena against Duke where they better be careful to keep their hands to themselves at all times or the fouls will pile up in a hurry.
Well, Baylor faced those obstacles, Duke, the pressure, and the officiating, and they crumbled.

I can't believe people are still bitching about this...MICHIGAN STATE had the easiest road to the final 4, they had to beat a 9 seed and a 6 seed in their regional.

You can't judge the toughness of the route based on "who they might have played", its who they played. Does Kansas get a cookie because they potentially could have played Georgetown or Ohio State?

You are comparing apples to oranges. Duke was a #1 seed, while MSU was a #5 seed. You can argue that Syracuse, Kansas, or Kentucky had the easiest path, but Michigan State as a #5 isn't a valid comparison.
