HA you guys are wasting your time. I've been on oink, demonoid, waffles (what oink became, short lived), and I use btjunkie because it's invite free, it's fast, and it has user comments to let you know whats legit and whats not.

Me too, but some people aren't "blessed" like us.

Also, what.cd is leaps and bounds better than waffles.

Dlazz, I've heard that, but honestly it was too much of a pain dealing with invites and ratios, I'm not sure if what.cd has a required ratio, so when my friend showed me btjunkie freshman year I've been hooked since.

Yeah, they do. It's a pain to get invites too. I have a 1.05 ratio with 15GB uploaded and I haven't earned any yet. (aside from the one or two they gave out randomly).

I've read about the process of getting on what.cd without an invite. Essentially you gotta take a test (interview). Is that how you got on?

No, I don't even remember exactly how I got on. If you hang out in their IRC channel, they make you take one of those dumb tests. Or maybe they implemented that after I joined. Not sure.

Yeah dude I just don't feel like uploading and what not, much easier to just download away.

I use Usenet for almost everything, but there are some rare things that I can't find. what.cd has nearly replaced Oink. It's very good.

It's not wasting your time when you want to use a good PRIVATE tracker like Demonoid instead of perhaps the largest PUBLIC tracker, btjunkie. If you've been to both demonoid and btjunkie and can't tell the difference between private and public torrent trackers then you're wasting your own time.

I used to have utorrent....vuze also. Transmission uses less memory and I just like the interface better.

uTorrent is the best client out there.

Lightweight, simple yet deep, fast. Everything I need in a torrent client.

I'm talking about Windows specifically, I have no experience with the Mac client to say if it's up to par quality wise.
