Easiest bracket ever.
Meanwhile, the top overall seed gets put in the hardest bracket.
Also...Duke gets out west, against the play in game?

Duke has the easiest road by far, but UK's bracket isn't that tough. KU and 'Cuse got screwed hard.

It might have been premature to say they have the easiest bracket, because that probably belongs to Duke's bracket...but they definitely got an easy ass bracket, and you could even argue easier than Duke's.ccrunner609 wrote: Funny Lavin just said that UK road was tough with physical teams like Texas in the second round.
You might be a little premature.
But you're right, it's probably Duke.

I think Duke's road is by far the easiest.
Kansas got raped with OSU and Georgetown in there.

If TExas gets their head out of their ass.....they could certanly beat UK. Thats if they get by Wake in the first round.

Kansas and Kentucky got the #1 and #2 overall seeds, and were "rewarded" with OSU and WVU. How does that make any sense whatsoever?
Then Duke gets #2 Villanova who has been struggling, #3 Baylor, #4 Purdue (without Hummel), etc. What a gift for the Blue Devils.

Duke got the easy row to hoe and it's not close.

The Lawrence and Syracuse PD's phones should be ringing off their hooks right now because they both got raped.
Purdue at a 4 is a joke as well.
EDIT: Kansas could walk backwards to the Elite 8 but whoever comes out of the bottom of that bracket will be a really touhg out as I believe OSU/Georgetown is the best combo of 2/3 seeds.

Isn't that one of the perks of being one of the top 1 seeds?

Yeah..damn i wish we would have lost a game or two extra, that way we could have been put out west and had an automatic FInal 4 bid...now we're gonna have to beat 2-3 very good teams just to get out of the region.jordo212000 wrote: Isn't that one of the perks of being one of the top 1 seeds?

Along with Duke, Kentucky got one of the hardest second round games of the top four seeds in each bracket of the Tournament.
Texas is no slouch. They have the talent to beat UK.

too many teams in both UK and Duke's bracket that you don't know which version is going to show up, whether or not its the good one or the abysmal one

Ohio State got fucked pretty hard. I never argued that they should be a 1 seed, but they are the worst 2 seed? Really? And Illinois got the shaft as well. Illinois accomplished a lot more against better competition than Utah State and even Florida.

Minnesota, Florida, and Notre Dame were terrible picks IMO

Illinois may have beaten some good teams on the year, but they finished 19-14. 19-14. If you want in, try not to finish 19-14. (And, no, I don't believe Arizona should have gotten in a season ago.)
Although there a couple of other teams in with high losses, so it is what it is, I guess.

i think OU was the only other team with 14 losses... Next highest were Notre Dame and Minnesota w/ 13

I my only argument to that is why is Utah St in over them or Miss St? Utah St played 0 top 25 teams. Utah St is the main one that I have an issue with.reclegend22 wrote: Illinois may have beaten some good teams on the year, but they finished 19-14. 19-14. If you want in, try not to finish 19-14. The Illini really blew their chances by not winning a couple tough conference games down the stretch. They had a tough schedule toward the end granted, but they needed to win at least two maybe one away and they didn't.

if Illinois would have beat OSU and played against Minneosta today, you wonder how that would have affected the bubble proceedings this afternoon

I don't think Kentucky will make it to the final four, but even if they do, it will be taken away in a couple years.

Again....the committee places teams before the final game...no way is OSU the #8 team in this field.
Notre Dame a #6?
Haven't we learned that no one has it easy to the Final 4?

You know, as a Duke fan, I don't like this draw any more than you anti-Duke fans do. They will probably beat the #16 seed by 10-15 points (after leading by two at halftime), then be lucky to make it past the second round and eventually lose to Texas A&M in the sweet sixteen. They manage to screw it up every year, and while this year's Duke team is slightly more athletic and better than teams in the past, I still think a quicker, more agile team will be waiting to upset them (2008 WVU style).
