I also think they will get a 2 seed. I would be foaming at the mouth if I was the 1 seed in a region with them. Probably clear sailing to the final 4.
Wouldn't be foaming at the mouth if I was maybe Duke as the 1 seed they were dismantled by the Hoyas.
True, I don't think they get a 1 seed though. I think it goes to WV. And after the blowout by OSU otday you could argue for them now more than ever before. But like I said, not much difference between being a 1 seed or 2 seed.
I agree WVU deserves the 1 seed over Duke but the committee loves them some Blue Devils so IMO they'll be the 4th 1 seed.

I think OSU will be the 1st 2 seed & be in Dukes region.

Don't be so sure about that. That committee is a collection of guys throughout the US, including OSU own Gene Smith. I don't believe there will be, or there is any room for bias in this process. Whoever has the best "body of work", should get that #1 seed.

I hope that WVU gets the forth 1 seed they deserve it their body of work in better than Dukes & OSU, but we won't have to wait much longer.

I just think it's hilarious that you think the committee is THAT fickle.
They have been fickle before. Wouldn't be a surprise to me. Don't forget, they take into account injuries and rate the teasm based on what they will be able to put on the floor. With the injury incurred for Syracuse it will affect their seeding just like it will for Purdue.

Given that same reasoning, it is common knowledge that they will look at OSU w/ Turner in terms of the regular season because that is the lineup they will have in the tourney. The 6 games played without him don't represent the team that will be tourney; and therefore, much stake won't be put into the 3 losses when he was absent from the lineup.

I also think WV had a better overall season including the conf tourney than Cuse. They deserve a 1 seed over Cuse.
A better overall season??? Can't argue the 3 days of the conference tourney but no way in hell they had a better overall season as Syracuse won the regular season conference championship AND beat WVU AT Morgantown. Other than having a better 3 day stretch in the conference tourney.....Syracuse clearly had a better overall season than WVU-conference tourney included or not.

And Onuaku is expected to be back at practice tomorrow so why in the hell will they penalize Syracuse for an insignificant injury? He might not be 100%, but he's not gonna shrink so his mere presence will continue to be an asset for Syracuse and a potential problem for opponents. They're going to get a #1 seed. I have faith in the committee. They have stated their guidelines before and if they stand by that the Orange are a #1.
Relax. I was simply giving my opinion. Does it really matter if a team gets a 1 seed as compared to a 2 seed? NO.

And I simply posted my opinion. I guess that warrants relaxing on your part now too. Just because I disagree with you doesn't mean I need to relax.

And yes it matters.....being a #1 seed means you essentially have a 1st round bye. Syracuse was the first #2 to ever lose to a #15 (Richmond back in 1991) so yes....it does matter to me.

Good call.

And the discussion rests.

Duke not only gets the one seed, but it gets it over Syracuse. Not that I agree with that, but it makes some here look, well, you know:)

Good.....not only did the Orange get a #1 seed.....but they can feel slighted and have a chip on their shoulder. Let your NCAA tourney play prove 'em wrong, boys.

Look like what? I guess all the TV guys look that way too? Kellogg has forgotten more bbal then you'll ever know. EVERYONE is questioning this ridiculous decision. I am ok with Duke #1 (disagree though) but above 'Cuse is ridiculous IMO.

I love the "so and so has forgotten more basketball than you'll ever know" argument.

Yes, he does. Good call. Who the fuck cares.

As I said, Duke didn't deserve it over Syracuse. But those here who adamantly protested that Duke wasn't a one seed can eat it. Stfu, Duke's a one. THAT is what it looks like.

How does the #1 overall seed Kansas end up in the toughest bracket? Duke gets in the consensus weakest bracket?

"The whole body of work" is looked at, most recently is a little fresher in the mind. I cannot believe the ammount of people with such short memories.

Or they are just bitter cause its Duke. If it was OSU I am sure it would be fine.........................haters.
Sure they did, in about the 4/5th best conference! WVU won theirs in the BEST conference. OSU won theirs as well. I am not even argueing for OSU...but had they NOT lost Turner for 6 games...OSU would probably be sitting at a #1 IMO. Maybe the committee shoudl have taken that into account more! You have NO arguement. Again, I am ok with Duke as a #1. Above 'Cuse....that was bad along with the bracket Kansas was put in. Committee did a POOR job this year IMO.

I'm fine with Duke at a 1 seed, not third overall, not getting the play-in game, and not the easiest bracket though. I just looks like the committee threw rose petals to the ground for them to waltz to the final four.

Sorry rec, I respect your posting abilities and knowledge but I kinda don't like Duke getting it so damn easy. Media friggin' darlings. ;)

CBF has it right. I can live with Duke as the last #1 seed, but it's a #1 in front of anyone else AND getting the play-in winner AND a joke of a road to the Final Four that makes it bullshit.

CBF makes a lot of sense when he takes off his scarlet colored glasses! :P
