I have high hopes for this episode after last weeks show...
"Michael thinks he has impressed Jo, only to discover that someone else in the office has caught her eye. Dwight makes trouble for Jim on his first day back from paternity leave. Andy and Erin go on their first date, with interesting results."
Worth noting....the writer this week is new to the show. His name is Jonathon Hughes.

Wasn't funny, but I liked the overall direction the show went. Michael standing up to Jo and the awkward date between the nard dog and erin

it is kinda funny now that Darrell is working in the office since Michael always thought of them in the warehouse as lesser people.
haha well technically he didnt have to stand up to Jo, he was just too stupid to figure out what she said to him about going home since he doesnt do any work.DeyDurkie5 wrote: Wasn't funny, but I liked the overall direction the show went. Hilarious episode! I laughed out loud at this episode more than any other episode yet this season.

I liked the episode actually and I have been one of the tougher critics lately. The desk gag between Dwight and Jim was funny (especially at the end) and any time Todd Packer makes an appearance it's a good show.
I loved when Dwight asked Jim he wanted him to step by to give the baby a strong male presence

Was it just me or was there not some incestual vibe with Erin and her "foster" brother (I realize they are not actually related by birth).

Yeah.. I kind of got that vibe too. Although I could see it being her boyfriend and not her actual brother. I see it as her being "too nice/shy" to say she wasn't into him. I could be off though. I would hate if they made Erin into the type of person who would bang her brother

Glad that Darrel is in the office now. Always thought his character kind of wasted away in the Warehouse.

Is this the show that Rainn Wilson is on?
Watched his movie The Rocker and thought he was pretty funny.

Good episode.....
Packer - "Boot & rallied twice already" ...LOL
Kathy Bates will get an emmy nomination for this little run of episodes, she really plays that character well.

Totally missed it last night, no excuses. I'll catch it today sometime. Sounds like it was pretty good.

There was a Seinfeld episode where Jerry dated a girl who had a male "roommate" that was like a brother....made for similar awkward situations.Little Danny wrote: Was it just me or was there not some incestual vibe with Erin and her "foster" brother (I realize they are not actually related by birth).
It's been done before.

I think they should have put Darryl upstairs much earlier. They should have just aborted the 2 manager thing with Jim, which wasn't funny, and had Darryl up there all along. There could be a lot of potential with him and Michael on the same floor.

Megadesk was funny, as was Michael saying that St. Patrick's Day is the closest the Irish will ever get to Christmas, and Jim's quad desk at the end was funny, other than that, it was a pretty boring show I though.
This show used to get it's humor from funny awkward moments, now it just has awkward moments.

I watched it early this morning on dvr, for this season it wasn't that bad, but you make a good point. The comment I have is that the awkward moments (whether funny or not) aren't natural now, but rather they are forced. The whole andy/erin thing is forced, and the moments are forced. If they have a date why would erin care if her boss sends her home from work? This isn't high school where if you don't attend class you can't play in the basketball game that night. Just forced, poor writing ceating superficial conflicts and artificial awkward moments.
