The plan has obviously worked. Tribe may go unbeaten in the exhibition season.

I was just going to post something on this. It's obvious Acta's plan is working.
Starting pitching has been good and so has the bullpen pitchers that will be on the team.
Grady hit a grand slam today.

ROFLMAO!!!!!!!!!! CC'S!!!!!!!!!!! TELL ME IS THE PLAN WORKING!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
Seriously though, I liked Acta from the beginning because he came in and didn't bs around, but was also a lot more personable than Wedge ever was.. He's also a great baseball mind and a realist.
I like what I've seen from the team so far, and obviously this is spring training, but I don't think the team will be as bad as some think.. I think this team could definitely push 80-83 wins, depending on pitching..
The offense will be there, that's never been a problem.

Yes!!!! The only time the Tribe plays good ball is in the spring when it doesn't count. Let's see how things go when the curtain goes up.
My call is they are out of it by mid May.

Really? They couldn't hit for crap last year. Yea they had some nice games but when they needed it, in the close games, they struggled.LTrain23 wrote:

With the great start to this spring, I would like to change my prediction. I originally predicted 1-161.....I look for them to go 4-158, because I am a "glass half full" type of guy.

Still undefeated! I can't wait for the late September games when the Jake will be rocking. All 2,000 fans, pants-shitting drunk, trying to drink away the sorrows of their miserable lives and their miserable ball team does nothing to help distract them, only reinforces their misery.

Maybe the Indians won't be as bad as I thought they'd be, but I still don't like their pitching. I watched a few games in Columbus last year and that team was baaaad. Now a lot of those guys are in Cleveland...

It's only spring training...I would not get too excited just yet. Have to wait and see what the team looks like in the first month of the real season.

pitching, pitching ,pitching....will determine the fate of this team, and it won't be pretty. I see a pretty good team offensively, but the Cliff Lee trade was a killer, and the staff will fold like dominoes. You need that one guy you can count on as a stopper to give the BP some rest.

I busted out the #'s all season long.. They were in the top 10 in almost EVERY major offensive category.. Actually, they were within the top 5 or 7 in most..just_a_swimmer wrote:Really? It was simple misconception.. Yes, they struck out a lot, but they also scored a lot.

when you only pitch 3 innings there isn't a whole lot of time to make mistakes. As we all know alot of damage gets done after the hitters see the pitcher multiple times. Come get me when those 3 innings turn to 6royal_k wrote: And they got another solid 3 innings from a starter again today.....just sayin

Good point. I'm waiting to see the same thing. But the way the pitching has started this spring is encouraging. Stay tuned....jordo212000 wrote:when you only pitch 3 innings there isn't a whole lot of time to make mistakes. If I'm not rooting for the Reds, I'm rooting for the Indians. Hate to see both teams struggle. I root for both but Cincy is my team. I really enjoy going to the Reds/Indians games.
