I guess this post is more of just validating my opinion.
A girl I've been talking to has an ex husband. Shes 25 and they were married for 2 years. No kids, no house, no money... it was a pretty easy divorce.. for her. He calls her constantly. Tonight he called 6 times in 10 minutes and left 2 voicemails. I answered for her the last time and he just hung up. She catches him outside of her apartment... she thinks shes seen him outside of her work... dudes a stalker, plain and simple. I told her she needs to get a restraining order and she says hes harmless so shes not worried about it. I'm worried shes going to find out differently one day. Plus I'm not sure of the law exactly, but I think something has to happen to get a restraining order.. but I'm not sure. I'm sure he knows where I live cuz he's prolly followed here her. He knows my car obviously cuz he knows when I'm there. He may be "harmless" but I'm not sure u can ever be really sure.

Other thing is she says shes not worried about it cuz hes harmless, but she hates to be alone at night.. so what is it really?

Actually, she should pursue a civil stalking order. Given the circumstances you provided, she would probably meet the burden. If he will not consent to the order, then she will need to attend a hearing and present evidence regarding his behavior. There is no filing fee for a civil stalking order and she can be provided court appointed counsel if she qualifies. If not, she should seek advice from an attorney and get one filed. Its a fairly simple process.

That's the thing. He is going to be. It's the typical ex situation. When she started fucking him again he assumed everything was the same as when they were married, so if he knows you are there he is going to be a bitch.

You'd think he wouldn't put in as much effort if it was a regular thing. My guess is they slept together once a little while ago and she told him it wasn't happening twice. So thats when he started doing all this.

I think you called it though, she doesn't like to be alone so when you're not there she ends up calling him. I definitely don't think he would keep doing all of this unless she was leading him on a little bit. Granted there are some fucked up people in the world who might.

Who knows what the guy is thinking? Maybe he wants to get married again. Who gives a fuck? He wouldn't be around at all if he wasn't hitting it. ...More details about the divorce would help, like did he beat her, drink up all the money, have a job???? If so she should get a court order issued against him.

If it was just that argued and fought then with her being just 25 (not sure of his age), I'll bet she still wants him around.

Only thing I know about their situation was from August of last year till January of this year she moved to Wisconson with her aunt b/c he wouldn't leave her alone. She tells me she isn't afraid of him but she moved for 5 months to get away so I dunno if shes just trying to reassure me or what. He's found out again where she lives and she assumes its thru mutal friends. So I dunno their whole ordeal.
