Is anyone else excited for this? I think it's a great way to kick off the season, as I love watching college basketball no matter what team is playing. The first game is about to tip off on ESPN.

I just saw that. Games starting at 6, 8, 10 am ET? That's insane. Would be kind of cool if you're still in college though. I think the 6am game starts at 3am local and the 8am is at Hawaii I believe. Either way would be really sweet. Tomorrow nights games should be pretty good.

One of the 6 AM games is in NJ.

I coached at a high school a few years back and one of the "camps" we did during the summer was a "24 hours of basketball" thing. Played mini-games every 2 hours or so through out the course of a day and a half. The kids loved it, I loved it. It was a great time.

Wow, totally was wrong now that I'm looking at the schedule. 2AM is west coast, 4AM is Hawaii.

They did this last year. I tried to watch as much as I could, which was pretty much parts of all but 1 game.

I will do the same this year, but I wont be able to watch nearly as much. I actually have crap to do tomorrow.

CS Fullerton is a pretty athletic team this year. they look like a solid mid-major. Anyone know what they are projected to do in their league. Currently giving UCLA a great game on the road. If they hadnt turned the ball over about 10 times today they would be up by about 6-8.

Yeah, it looks to me like UCLA may have a rough season, at least by their standards. They've lost a lot of very good players the last couple years.

Fullerton and UCLA are tied 21-21 at the moment. Might end up being a good game.

UCLA has a couple blue chippers (Lee and Gordon) and in general talent. But they are all FR and SO. Even their JRs didnt see much action in their early years. But this is still an NCAA team, and probably a top 5 AT WORST (likely top 3 imo) team in the Pac-10

I know Fullerton plays an "up and down game", but they already have approximately 10 turnovers. However, they are still tied with UCLA in Los Angeles

You're right, Laley. They have a lot of talent, but are very inexperienced.

I think Dragovic, Gordon, Lee, Roll, and Keefe are the only guys back that averaged more than 10 minutes last year. That can be said about a lot of teams though.

And the announcer just said they were picked to finish 7th in their conference.

Love the "you got swatted" chant from the UCLA students. Come on guys, this isn't middle school.

Wow, picked 7th. I mean, Im not saying UCLA is a world beater this year. But CSF looks really athletic which is usually the mark of a better mid-major team. They can get to the basket and, thus far, have rebounded and played really active defense.

Maybe UCLA is going to struggle more than I thought this year. The youth they have is really noticable thats for sure.

Fullerton lost Josh Akognon who was one of the nation's leading scorers for a few years. They weren't that great last year, so I can't imagine they are projected to do much this season.

How's Liberty gonna be this season? They played the Tigers pretty close last year, if I remember correctly.

After seeing that highlight of UConn, I think they could be a sleeper for a run deep into the Tourny come March. Nova looks scary as usual(as of late). I really wish they were talking about the Big East right now!! I was just about to say Cincy is going to have a good season as well.

Damn the teams tipping off at 6AM have it pretty rough.

The earliest game I've ever played was 7:30AM and that was a bear to get up and loose for.

And we have players going off the court with cramps. I was expecting more from a young but talented UCLA group. Obviously it is still very early, and they could grow into a very nice team by the time March rolls around, but this first look is very disappointing.

UCLA picking up the defense here and have the once 10 pt lead down to 1. CSF getting rattled on the offensive end. Missing a lot of easy shots.

The Cal St guys need to learn that you don't always have to dribble immediately after getting a board. Sometimes, more often than not, a pass is the better option.

UCLA defender looked silly there. That was a nice dunk.
