Thank goodness they aren't letting in any SEC teams, OSU would probably never get a win!
You know when it's late fall, and you see one of the last remaining flys?
You know how slow they move and respond?

That would be an SEC team playing in Big Ten Country in late October.

Yeah, I guess you're right....No religious entity has ever shown any form bias.

That's a good point, because players from the South never do well when they play in Green Bay or New England... That's also why teams from the north NEVER recruit players from the South.

I guess you're right, I forgot how many SEC teams regularly play OOC games up north. But remember, that one about there never being any fast guys from north of the Mason/Dixon line is true.

Again the Big Ten does not need another weak team especially when it comes to football.

Notre Dame should be improving with Kelly now on board. Their location and fan base along with the fact of regularly playing UM, MSU, Purdue and occasionally PSU make them the obvious and best choice for the big 10 .

People is has little to do with a conference championship game, and a lot to do with television dollars. The Big Ten won't be the only conference with their own network soon. You can expect to have the Big XII, Pac-10, SEC, ACC, and Big East to have their own by the end of the decade. I think the MWC already has one. If you're a big name conference, there are lots of dollars to be had; and as big as Notre Dame's following is, it isn't big enough to have its own national station. No university in the country has that pull.

On a slightly different note, I really hope the NCAA puts in a rule or something limiting conference sizes. The idea of a superconference is fucking dumb. If the Big Ten were to go to a sixteen-team model with two eight-team divisions, those are conferences in their own right. I say limit a conference's size to twelve or fourteen teams!

Don't be an ass. You and everyone else knows that ND has been the most disappointing team in college football the last 15 years when you consider their talent level. I admire your loyalty, but facts are facts.

BTW, just saying.........a weak conference deserves another weak team, they would compliment each other perfectly.

So by that logic Purdue is better than OSU right? Or does it not work that way? ND >> Purdue >> OSU?

Whether you like it or not.....it appears that the Big 10 and Notre Dame need each other.

Anyways, I've had to listen to so much shit over the last 15 years and have lived through ND losing to OSU 3 times. Can't really say much back.

If ND joins the conference and that becomes a yearly matchup.......and ND beats OSU at some point.....well, I think you guys know what you're going to hear. I've had to deal with it. I know what an ND loss to OSU feels like. It wouldn't be a new thing for me. However, how will some of you OSU fans (mainly the ones who are loudmouth assholes on this site who do nothing but bash and troll) react if OSU loses to ND?

It's like the Steelers-Browns threads....as ytownfootball said the other day.....not all of us Steeler fans deserved the shit talking from Browns fans and others.....but we're "collateral damage" because of our obnoxious fans. If ND joins the Big 10 and beats OSU......I have a feeling I'll be saying that to the good OSU fans on here.

EDIT: I should also add that I have great respect for Ohio State's tradition and history. They're clearly one of the top 5 or so programs in the BCS era. They have some great fans.....some of those fans are on here. And though it's not unique to OSU.....some of their fans on here just make it impossible for me to root for them. Even at that.....I don't need to constantly tell you guys how much I dislike them. That would basically be looking to stir shit up. Many of you know how I feel and I don't need to constantly remind you.

I know there are some ND fans who drive some others to root against them. Every team has them. I do my best to treat the reasonable fans with respect.

4 bowl wins in 20 years. Not saying that's great, but your facts aren't straight.

Just trying to fuel some fire here :)

Winningest College Football teams:
#3 ND-837-291-42
#5 OSU-819-308-53

Fewer losses and more wins.

OLD data, but still relevent.

Eh, the reason these kids supposedly don't play well up north is because they're not used to the cold. Well if they were in the Big 10, they'd be playing in the cold 4 or 5 games a year and it wouldn't be much of a problem. I love the excuse, "Well, they are always better than us because we play in the cold!"
