Josh Cribbs was seriously hurt on the final play of tonight's game.
He was immobilize and taken off the field on a stretcher. He appeared to have movement in his arms.
It was not shown on ESPN. I was listening to the game on the radio and when they game back on the air after the commercial break following the game Donnavan and Dieken were talking about it.

And the Browns season just gets even worse...

A lot of people will say it was "part of the game." But it was a cheap shot. The play was 15 yards right of where Cribbs was.

It wasnt a cheap shot. It looked to me like the guy just ran into him. Thats what they get for running that play anyway when your down by 2 scores. Just kneel on the ball!

I'm a Browns fan, and I didn't see it as cheap. It was a solid hit.

it wasnt even a hard "bump". both players were maybe at half to 3/4 speed. he fell over onto his back and i dont even think hit his head. i was kinda confused on what happend. the only thing i saw was the raven's player put his hand up on cribbs chest, maybe even his neck area. not sure what that would do though.

The player may have been a path to collide with him, but he didn't need to extend his arms and hit him with the force he did. Complete bull shit and he better be fined bigtime.

I have it DVRd and have watched it sevsreal times. It was a bogus hit.

When you keep having laterals on a play, it is hard to say who is out of the play.

The same thing could have been said for the Ravens and the way they approached the last play. The game was over, I dont care how many laterals there were and if the Browns scored or not. It was over and there is no sense in going kamikaze on a play that means nothing.

I also got a hoot out of the comment that if the Ravens went to their throwback unis they would be wearing Browns uniforms. NOT TRUE! Modell gave all that up when he moved his franchise out of Cleveland. He left it behind, and if you go to the pro football HOF they list the Ravens franchise as beginning in 1996, but the Browns franchise going back to 1950 (in the NFL). Cleveland retained all the history, colors, name, and championship banners. Modelll took his roster and office staff period.

no...we cheer for the uniform and the uniform didn't go anywhere. The players were what left...and they are always coming and going anyway. The uniform remains. This was just a case where all the players happened to leave at once for 3 years.

saying the current Browns can't claim the history of the pre 1996 Browns isn't much different than saying the current Packers can't claim their titles from the 60s.....in both cases the uniforms and franchise remain and the personnel is what is different

Baltimore should have kept the name Browns. The Browns legacy has been destroyed by this Lerner franchise.

New franchise? Then choose a new name and move on.

This team is trash. We actually have a serviceable defense, thanks to Rob Ryan and his schemes, but they are left out on the field more than ANY other defensive unit in the NFL thanks to the Browns putrid (and that's degrading to the word putrid) offense. I mean seriously? 8.6 ppg?

hopefully Cribbs is ok. I didn't watch the 4th quarter; game was LONG over by then.

1, You obviously weren't watching the same game I was.

2. Joshua Cribbs plays every play 110% and saying he is faking an injury is one of the stupidist things I've seen on here. I f there is one player on this team that WOULDN'T do that. It is Cribbs.

Mangini is a joke (so is Lerner) only thing cool about the Browns is D coordinater Rob Ryan and if he doesnt back away from the buffet line they'll have to find a replacement there too

LOL, no way Cribbs is faking it. It wasn't a dirty hit, maybe an unnecessary one, but not dirty at all. Cribbs just wasn't braced for it--he didn't see it coming at all. Hopefully it's not TOO serious and the stretcher was just precautionary.

I kept watching the replay of the play, and I don't feel that it was a dirty hit. It just appeared to be a freak play.
