Bullshit. How can he claim this award with any sort of honor after missing 6 games. This is just bullshit.

Kramer getting named as D player of the year over Lighty is ridiculous.

As for Coach of the Year...I do believe the coaches have their heads squarely up their butts. Purdue was supposed to be at the top of the league...OSU was picked third.

Now who REALLY did the better coaching job here?

Well, MSU was supposed to be first, then Purdue then OSU. Not like they finished sooo much better than the other.

Kramer is the most overrated defender in the country. BUT he did have the game saving block versus Ohio State.

Turner was unanimous pic in the media for player of the year. But NOT unanimous with coaches?? I wonder who the dolt coach was who did not vote for him? Pretty ridiculous if you ask me. By far the best player in the conference.

Good for Turner. Now actually lead us deep into a tourney run this year instead of getting bounced by somebody like Sienna last year

BS. No coach in his right mind, would EVER not vote for their OWN player when they are deserving. Its a coaches responsibility to stand up and support their own. Having been involved in this at the HS level...I have never ever witnessed a coach NOT voting for his own.
Typically, there can be hidden agenda, certain coaches don't like eachother that leads to a coach not voting for someone. Its sad, but its also reality. But there is NO way Matta did not vote for Turner. If that got out, do you realize how poorly that would reflect on him?

According to Columbus Dispatch's Bob Baptist's blog (Hoops and Scoop), Crean was the coach who didn't vote for Turner. Though his source is a Twitter account (Eleven Warriors), so take it for what it's worth. Considering the post-game handshakes between Matta and Crean, though, this would not shock me.

Wow! And I thought Crean was a classy guy. If true he did this because of a grudge, that would be low.
