Not questioning your selections, but odd that you choose 2 politicians with such different ideologies.

My current favorites are Patty Murray and Maria Cantwell. You probably never heard of them, but they are the two senators from the State of Washington. They are both proud Democrats. I voted for them in the past and I will vote for them again.

Edit: Oops, forgot no comments from the peanut gallery allowed. I'll take the initiative and fix it myself before Mr. Enforcer arrives. ;)

JC Watts - I would run through a wall if he asked. Truly an inspiring person that knows how to reach all types. He should be our next president, but it seems like he doesn't necessarily want it.

Ronald Reagan - In my lifetime there has been no greater threat to our security as a nation than the Cold War. Ending it with a decisive defeat of the Soviet Union was the best case scenario for us as well as for democracy throughout the world.

I like Watts as well. Sometimes the best ones are those that have no desire to rule over others.

That and the ferocity of the political landscape right now doesn't suit his style.

I didn't pick them for the same reasons

Clearly, I was just a little surprised.

Glad to see JC Watts' name mentioned. Got to see him speak at a dinner about 10 years ago here in Wayne Co.

IMO, he'd be the perfect 2012 Republican candidate.

He still writes periodically for the Las Vegas Review Journal.
