According to the Bible, homosexuality is a sin. I won't bore this thread with references, they are readily researchable. So is stealing, adultry, lying, murder, ect. Man is fallen, and we sin daily. Jesus asks us why we see the speck of dust in our neighbors eye but igonre the stick in our own. As far as I see things, you are welcomed to come and worship. Please sit next to the fornicators and thieves that are also there to worship. A good pastor might tell the congregation from time to time what the Bible says about things, but God heaps mercy and grace on us, and Christ has given us a way to Heaven. Lots of cool things happened at Calvary. Go in peace Fairwood my brother.
squirmy, what you say is true, and men do tend to see the speck in the eyes of others, while yet are blinded to the stick in their own eyes. This is not altogether true of all Christians. We know that we too, are sinful men, but have chosen Christ to help us in our walk in that we would repent, "strive" to live free of sin and not adopt it as part of our lives.
Every man and woman who has a relationship with Christ is also a sinner. But it is our desire and effort to be able to say, "that is what I used to do", meaning it is no longer a part of our life.
It is a true thing that God does "heap mercy and grace upon us". It is also true that His mercy, grace and forgiveness is heaped upon those who have accepted His son Jesus as Lord and Savior. While we yet walk this earth, all sinners have before them the opportunity to turn from sin and accept the Lord's salvation.
The "cool things that happened at Calvary" were accomplished for a reason and were not in vain!
F.K. said that he does not believe in God. That's his choice as is his homosexual choice.
If he dies without accepting Christ as Lord and Savior, Heaven will not be his eternal home. You should tell him that part also!
But, he's not worried!
