Those clever Crazies. I'm glad they finally got to see a win against Carolina in Cameron.

They had to, too, or some might have jumped off the roof of the Duck Shop on Ninth Street (Duke's unofficial team store). Had two Trinity classes in a row not seen a win over UNC in Cameron, now that would have been a tragedy (to paraphrase Doc Moonlight Graham).

...

They won't, but if Duke were to win the national title, would this be the worst season you've ever had as a sports fan? What a topping to my cake that would be. And Train's "two titles" defense mechanism would go out the window. I still think Duke makes the Final Four this season (or at least it's my hope, but a title is not happening.)

I only raise the question because after getting hammered by UNC in Cameron last season, and twice in general, and then watching the Heels win the title, I wanted to die. The only thing, sadly, that kept me going was "40 to 12" and that had absolutely nothing to do with Duke. Lol.

If Duke wins the national title this season, yes, it would probably have to be the worst basketball season of my life. I've thoroughly enjoyed the last few years, but I'm now realizing that I'm paying the price for that enjoyment with this season. Going into this year, I figured Duke would be pretty good, and probably win the ACC, but I thought Carolina would be right on their heels and would most likely split with them.

This year has been a nightmare of the worst kind, and if K and his team end up winning a title, I may never be the same. Unless some miracle occurs, Carolina will be sitting at home for most of March, so I'll be rooting for OSU to do well in the NCAAs, and of course, I'll be rooting with every fiber of my being against Duke. It will, however, be fun to just watch the tourament with no pressure. I was on edge for every Carolina game in the NCAAs last year because a loss would have been the end of the world for the Carolina fanbase, myself included.

Nothing wrong with my two titles defense.. If the shoe were on the other foot, you'd be using it as well..

However, I'll gladly take being on top 2 out of 4 years..

This isn't the season I was expecting.. I didn't think we were a top 5 team to begin with, but I seriously thought this could be a top 15 team.. Players were either vastly overrated by scouts inc or they just vastly underperformed.. and given Roys' head coaching resume', I doubt it was the latter.

This was no doubt a gut wrenching season... It started great and quickly turned ugly, and I mean UGLY.

I hope nothing but the worst for Duke going forward, I hope they lose in the ACC tourny and I hope they don't get past the sweet 16 in the NCAA tourney (which would be par for the course).

As for UNC, we'll be back next season, so enjoy this while you can.

Someone had a sign at the game that said "Text 90999 to donate $10 to the UNCBball Disaster Relief Fund." :) Nice!!
