There must have been some threats made by Bucknuts attorneys. One being a quasi gag order. You seem pretty tight lipped about all this crap going on. Is it we that get to do all the bashing of them, you arent permitted? Almost like they are monitoring what is being posted here.
No threats, I just don't want to discuss things too openly since this is a public forum. Don't read too much into me being tightlipped.

Tomorrow...we get to hear everyone complain about lost post counts.
No post counts will be lost. The code/database will be the same. The only thing changing is the name.

As for changing the name, who cares. Give in to them since it's the cheaper route, change the name and watch us dominate them anyways.
This.

LJ, you know there are going to be a few people who have been waiting for an excuse to bomb that place.
And it could end up in a ban from this place...
Just sayin
I'm not going to ban anyone as I can't control what goes on outside of here but please, for my sake, DO NOT DO IT.

I'm warning everyone now..
Do not attack the other site.
Man, they must have gotten some A+ attorney's to try and scare the life out of Justin because between his gag order (it would seem at least) and a forceful message like this it seems that JJ is 100% off limits.
They used alot of creativity I assume in whatever complaint they filed because far as I can tell this site in no way infringes upon anything at the Huddle legally, because if that were the case that site should be shut down because the major fantasy Huddle site was around much before JJ.
I can understand not wanting to deal with that hassle of this financially on Justin's end and its easier just to move on, but it kind of blows they were able to basically scare him into shutting the site down with a mean nasty letter because there is hardly anything illegal about it's existence otherwise.

IggyPride, I think because of that, it has to be something other than just the domain name and site design. Now that I am thinking about it, I recall a topic about an Orrville teacher suing another Orrville teacher for slander or defamation or something like that, and it was based on something said on JJHuddle.com.
I wonder if it's the same idea here (some of the more personal attacks, I would assume, would be the big issue). Naturally, and wisely, those in the know on this site won't confirm or deny that ... hopefully, anyway. I do, though, think it's a possibility.
No gag order or threats. I'll say it has nothing to do with slander, libel, spamming, etc. Truthfully, I don't think this site infringes on anything but I am not about to drop tens of thousands of dollars in legal fees to find out.
