Recently I have seen alot of these bumper stickers that say "Are you out of a job yet? Keep buying foreign" The ironic thing is that I always see them on American made cars that are at least 10-15 years old.
Buying a foreign car where marginal profits go to the USA is better than not buying a car at all. Kind of ironic.

bumper stickers are retarded in general....I don't see the appeal of plastering them all over your car.

But, what's wrong with driving an American made car that is 10-15 years old, if it is still running well?
I think there are still some people who would rather do that than to be constantly in debt and "one paycheck away".
I can't say much because my car is only 2 years old, it was bought new. But, I don't see anything wrong with people that keep their cars forever.
As for the original question, I hate bumper stickers on the car, but I do have a cling.

I drive a 1993 Ranger. Why? Because it still runs.
Oh, and I have a sticker on it:
"Jesus loves you, but everyone else thinks you're an Asshole."

Bumper sticker wisdom is typically terrible. I love the bumper stickers that try to discuss serious and deep problems with one-liners that sound nice or cute.

I had one..when I was in HS. Had it on for like 2 days before it mysteriously disappeared and then a talking to by my parental units.
was harmless..."Missing your cat? Check under my tires".
It was the continued education that weekend when they drove me through the crappy parts of the town...and pionted out how many of those cars had bumper stickers.
