I just heard a lady at work threaten her daughter but "unrecording" her iCarly episode when they get home.

My smart ass would have been like "It'll be on again Mom, I'll record it then."

So now DVR removal is punishment. I guess its better than beating your kid.

I still spank my daughter when it is deserved. Some times a time out will work, but not always.

I spanked my daughter starting around 2 yrs old...she's 4 now and hasn't had a spanking in 9 months or so - all it takes now is a stern look and the threat of a spanking and a time-out on her bed.
I like the no DVR punishment...haha. The times we live in - hilarious.
