Why stop cooperating unless she has something to hide or made a mistake reporting this in the first place (like, sobering up and realizing she screwed up royally)? I'm not answering a question with a question, I'm trying to lead you down a coherent thought process.

As for the rumors about the sorority sisters, I'm just stipulating that as fact like you are passing judgement on a lawsuit that appears to be completely bogus and an allegation in which the witness stopped cooperating as soon as she hired a lawyer (she has missed scheduled interviews and has not spoken to police since that night). You want to claim where there's smoke there's fire, well then there's also reason to suggest both allegations are complete BS, so no smoke.

Poor decisions? When you sleep around (which many guys do, or would like to do), you open yourself up to this, especially when you are a wealthy celeb. I mean, c'mon, the first girl never reported it to the police, bragged about "having Ben's baby", was under pysch treatment, and waited almost a year to file a civil suit. Nothing here to claim Ben has done anything millions of other 20-something single guys haven't done.

And you claimed Ben would settle the first case. What's the protocol? I don't know, but he's already rejected an offer for settlement once. That case is over a year old. How fast did Kobe settle?

That makes her some sort of golddigger? That's your evidence? And you accuse me of jumping to conclusions. There are all kinds of reasons a crime victim would consult a lawyer beyond looking for an opportunity to cash in. To claim otherwise is disingenuous at best.

There are any number of things I could do or might like to do, but choose not to because of the consequences. That's what the non-idiot segment of the population does. And in large part, they have little or no interaction with the police.

Not sure, I don't keep a sexual deviate scorecard. I do know that in legal terms, a year is nothing.

Reports on the Facebook thing are no less real (or necessarily legit), than the lawsuit. I've seen the stories on the Facebook reported a few places. It was also reported the sorority ordered the pages taken down. Anyone can file a lawsuit for any reason, and fraudulent ones still on occasion get paid off. You want to stipulate that as some sort of evidence as wrong doing and I'm saying EVIDENCE will be evidence of wrong doing, and from what we've heard it sounds like a pure shakedown of Ben, Harrah's and others.

I'm not jumping to any conclusions. People have claimed Roethlisberger not cooperating and hiring a high profile lawyer was evidence he had something to hide. Just saying hold his accuser to the same standard. Yes, there are valid reasons for her to have a lawyer, though no huge rush. But to stop cooperating and miss scheduled interviews? It has all the smell of a drunk girl (BAC over 0.2) who overreacted and is circling the wagons.

I can see BR getting a game rip on this with two accusations but no charges filed in either.

With the PD no longer seaking DNA samples means either there was nothing to compare it against or they just dont see much to the accusation.

I doubt he will get charged, but it still doesnt mean he is completely innocent of being a fuckin idiot.

Seems like he needs to grow up and start appreciating what he has and rededicate himself to his craft.

Maybe it's a coincidence, but it's strange how the case of alleged sexual assault against Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger has begun to publicly unravel in the three days since Commissioner Roger Goodell addressed the situation for the first time in brief but ominous fashion.
After I've finished making a tinfoil hat and locked myself in my bunker, so I can get more on this dude's wavelength, I'll finish this column. With the general paranoia Browns fans have, I'm waiting for things to devolve to, "The commish, the NFL, the authorities...THEY WERE ALL IN ON IT!!!!! All to keep Pittsburgh strong and keep us down!!!!! It's a muthafuckin' conspiramacy!!!!" Which will then be followed by the mass throwing of beer bottles, unless they've come up with a new method of fighting "conspiracies".

By reading this link, one can see a few things. The young''lady'' was highly drunk and in a night club at 2:00 am after her fake ID was already taken from her. The tape from the video cameras that night were taped over. Before any Steeler hater claims the Steelers had something to do with that, maybe there was evidence of this ''lady'' buying drinks in the club, which is illegal. Maybe there is evidence of her giving lap dances and flirting with everyone. I believe the case is closed and I expect apoligies from everyone who called Ben a rapist.

That is strong, and probably inaccurate.

The first instance has all the makings of a woman who had buyers remorse. When you read her emails and discussions to friends after the fact and such it pretty much dispells any type of assault.

This latest one......an assault, could be anything from being too grabsy to more. If he did indeed rape, or even got close, they would be getting the DNA from him. Mostly likely what happened is he got too touchy feely..maybe didnt stop touching and feeling her up........but as far as rape or even to say attempted rape is probably way overboard.

Im not defending has actions......seems like a pure jerkoff...but a rapist....i wouldnt go that far.

On a thread a few years ago he said that me and I think it was two other huddlers were being jersk cause we had aides. We hammered him pretty good after the fact. I cannot rmember the other 1-2.

He may have deleted it a lil while later.......cannot remember exactly as it was a few years ago.....and THAT is when i really became anti ncf and started to hammer im every chance I could on there...and here.
