to quote Daniel Tosh regarding women with fake boobs:
You got 'em cause you're a whore. You forgot cause you're stupid.

I don't think there's anything wrong if a woman wants to enhance her breasts, but as to the topic at hand, if said "enhancements" really are the sole reason you got "discovered," you should admit it.
However, I do believe that while a good pair of boobs may open doors, it does take some brains and tenacity to succeed. Pam Anderson and Jenna Jameson are two women that come to mind here. Say all you want about them but they are not stupid, and I'm guessing Sterger isn't either.

She does seem like a very low-watt bulb. However, there are three things she obviously knows:
1) The adult business (because let's face it, acting is NOT her strong suit)
2) Marketing
3) How to best combine the two

Actually, she's a BRILLIANT marketer. I've heard her speak live on the subject, and whether she's self-taught or she was taught by others, she's picked that up rather well.thavoice wrote: As for Jenna Jameson.....in a drawer of spoons even a butter knife appears sharp.

This is just for me....my personal thought.
I respect it MORE if a woman has those...."goods", and chooses to use her brains that she has with those...."goods" to think up other ways, and other paths to success that doesn't involve marketing herself around her....."goods"
...if that made sense.

I did see her special on E, a few times, and also her appearance on OReilly and she does seem pretty intelligent.O-Trap wrote:Actually, she's a BRILLIANT marketer. No....I mean, well, sure, if that's what she desires to do with herself. But I was talking more from a career standpoint. Jameson might be great at marketing, I won't deny that, but I wouldn't mind seeing a woman of that physical caliber use those strategies, and that mind in a way that doesn't sexually exploit them first.

I know what you're saying Upper. Are you looking at he goods as possibly an incumbrance? If I read you correctly, they could be considered such for a career, well, any career that has a hiring staff with pre-conceived notions about "assets". But I personally wouldn't fault someone for using whatever means available to get in the door, I couldn't differentiate between the two.Upper90 wrote: No....I mean, well, sure, if that's what she desires to do with herself. Not if you can do it yourself. Being able to outsource is nice, but if it's not necessary, that's a plus.Glory Days wrote: isnt that what an agent is for?
Honestly, if Jenna wanted to get into a different niche of marketing, she could successfully do so. However, she maintains success and stays in that niche for one reason (one she admitted):Upper90 wrote: No....I mean, well, sure, if that's what she desires to do with herself. Yeah, again, I get it. I understand why Jameson does what she does.
I'm simply saying that I would like to see more women that ARE sexy, etc. succeeding at other levels other than falling back on selling sex.
I know it can be difficult, but if you've got the mind, it really shouldn't matter.

I think the reason we don't see that more often is not because of the women. I think it's because of the industry.Upper90 wrote: Yeah, again, I get it. I understand why Jameson does what she does.

If you had the choice of making $40K, $70K, $110K, $550K, or $640K in a single year with the same amount of effort for each, which do you pick?
Most will opt for the path that pays the best. Enter the sex niche.

In a perfect world, sex wouldn't sell a damn thing, instead it offers those with assets a "path of least resistance". It is what it is.

If you got it, use it. If I was a girl and had tits like that, amongst the other good stuff she has, I'd be using a dirty trick and route in the book to make money off my body. No doubt about it.

Speaking as a female, I don't think it hurts to use what you got in the physical department to get ahead. Now I'm not saying do a striptease for the boss or anything like that, but if looking good on an interview helps land you a job you really want than all the more power to you. The key is to develop other skill sets so that when those looks go you can still impress people with your smarts and talents.
I'd say this happens more with women, but I'd imagine that there are men out there who have benefited from their looks as well.

When you have a hot chick who exploits her sexiness to gain fame for no reason other than being hot...and then suddenly decides she wants to be known for something besides her looks...well, I think that's how the term "jump the shark" originated.
