Email http://www.vet.ohio-state.edu/LonnieKing.htm and tell him that his instructors are not teaching people correctly.
Or you are confusing things. You are thinking about spreading, a live virus is "active" on inanimate objects but is not spreading on it's own.

the epstein barr virus that causes mono is dormant for about 6-8 weeks before you show any symptoms and then it becomes active

Put it this way LJ, when your herpes acts up, do you treat it then or do you treat it all the time?

That isn't even close to what we are talking about, you are still infected.

That's in a body and dormant in a body. Not even the same thing we are talking about.ytownfootball wrote: Put it this way LJ, when your herpes acts up, do you treat it then or do you treat it all the time?
I suggest you leave this to the experts.

that's in an already infected body. That is not what we are talking about. We are talking about a virus living on an inanimate onject, which in that case there is no such thing as "dormant" and "active.UA5straightin2008 wrote: yes but you said viruses dont go dormant, but they do

So you being an "expert" is patently false.
Stick to what you know. As will I having more experience in what we're talking about than you've been alive.

Are you a Doctor? If you are so fucking smart email Dean King and tell him that his instructors are stupid.
If you aren't a doctor, I am pretty sure my gf's advice on this > yours.

I know from the earlier thread that his dogs are already vaccinated and one of them got a new strain of parvo. Apparently another one is sick and I think he's trying to keep the others from also getting sick.LJ wrote: GoChiefs some of the results on VIN on what mixture you should use are kind of scary.

Viruses do not go dormant on inanimate objects. They are either dead or alive.GoChiefs wrote: He is correct though...Parvo does not go dormant outside.

Yes..they have been vaccinated..but obviously..that didn't work. There is a strain out now that vaccination doesn't do anything for.LJ wrote: GoChiefs some of the results on VIN on what mixture you should use are kind of scary.

I didn't ask her about any new strains, but a lot of info coming up on VIN I guess is that you have to wait for the virus to die when you have it in your yard, which could be up to 2 years.FatHobbit wrote:I know from the earlier thread that his dogs are already vaccinated and one of them got a new strain of parvo.
